When will Prednisone moon face go away

I started prednisone july 16 60mg, i was then given 80mg for 2 weeks. And im currently tapering down. I know it sounds silly but September 25 i have somewhere important to be. Will my moon face reduce by then? Should i start a diet now? Will a diet even be effective? I dont want to look like that in front of people

What to do during sudden hearing loss recovery ?

On july 5 i got bilateral sensorineural hearing loss , with left ear 60 speech recognition and 0 speech right ear. As of august 5 my speech in left ear is 85 and right is 4%. I still can not hear and honestly see no change but the doctors think I’m making great progress . Everything sounds muffled, robotic and static-like . Its been a month and i have had to quit my job because i worked at a store and could no longer help customers. The store was very unprofessional so the customers were not understanding. I told my ent this . Idk what im supposed tto do in the meantime as for work because they doo not suggest a hearing aid because they said the meds is working and i need to give it time but it literally feels like its not. I brought airpods for the hearing aid feature and it rarely changes anything? Should i jus go out and buy more expensive hearing aids because i literally can not communicate well at all. All i do is sit at home because i cant hear, can’t read lips, and constant tinnitus in my right ear. What did y’all do during your hearing loss process ?

Hearing test results ?

1st pic is most recent test. 2nd pic is first test
.
Any idea what this means? These are my results. My doctor says it’s progress but I have absolutely no idea how this is supposed to be progressive when I still can not hear. I went to church and to Costco today, didnt hear anything but very loud sounds. Still can’t understand speech unless someone is directly in my left ear. Can hardly hear my phone. Had to quit my job because I can’t hear and i worked at a beauty supply store. :/

Prednisone success around day 10?

I got sudden bilateral hearing loss randomly on july 5. I was only able to see the ENT on July 16. I got injections and put on prednisone from 60mg. I saw huge progress on july 22-25, but for some reason on July 26 the progress went back to how it previously was. Everything sounds muffled and robotic. They upped my dosage to 80mg prednisone and I still havent seen any progress. My question is has anyone that started treatment around day 10-11 seen any progress? Has anyone recovered or even recognize partial recovery. I recently went to applebees for my moms birthday and I could not hear a thing I started crying my life is over.

Bilateral Sensorineural Hearing Loss/ Prednisone Experience and Progress,

Im 23 years old, a recent college graduate, and I have never had problems with my ears. On June 12, 2026, I experienced my first episode of vertigo. I went to the hospital the next day and was given motion sickness medicine and 6 day taper of prednisone. I did not take the medicine correctly. I stopped taking it because I wasn't dizzy anymore. On June 26, I was at work and experienced another episode of vertigo. This time I had a constant fullness and ringing in my ear.I had to leave and took myself to the hospital where they told me they can't do anything. On July 5 I woke up and could no longer hear. Everything sounded muffled, robotic, and like I was underwater.  I thought this was temporary. However, the following Monday July 12th, I went to an ENT and was diagnosed with Bilateral Sensorinetinal Hearing Loss. They couldn't give me the immediate injections and sent me to the nearest ENT that could on July 16.

That following Thursday, July 16, I was given a 60mg injection of Prednisone and oral Prednisone as well.
I didn't notice a difference until July 22, I was able to hear almost everything in my left ear, but my right ear can not recognize speech. I could hear people more clearly and it was not so muffled. I even heard myself and I did not sound like I was stuck underwater. I was scheduled to go back to the ENT on July 23.

I went back and there was a 20% increase in my hearing test on my left ear. I went from severe to mild. I was excited. My right ear even had a small increase although I still could not hear from that ear. I was fine with my progress though. I was given my second set of injections and continued my 60mg oral steroids. From that day up until that Saturday I was able to hear progress.

However, I had woken up on July 26, getting ready to go back to work because I was under the impression that I could hear something again. But when I woke up it was like I was back at square one. I could no longer hear as well. I went to work and felt like I was going deaf. Everything sounded robotic and muffled again. I was sent home because I could not help the customers because I could not hear them. I was confused by the sudden drop in hearing. I called my ENT and she said there was no urgency and to still continue taking my meds and come in for my next appointment.

I went in for my appointment yesterday. My hearing test showed no decrease. I'm not sure how this is possible because there was definitely a decrease. I could not even hear the nurses that were directly in front of me. They believe it may be a volume issue and that people were not speaking loudly but there was not a volume issue the prior week. My MRI showed some inflammation in my ear, but everything else was normal. So they believe it may be an auto-immune inner ear disease. I saw the rheumatologist yesterday and got tested and they want me to start this daily injection medicine called kinerat. They say I may have to do this everyday for one year. I haven't seen much on Reddit about people using this medicine. I'm nervous. They believe this medicine will help and when I asked about a hearing aid it was not recommended. I don't know what to do. It feels like my life is falling apart. I was offered a big-girl job and had to turn it down due to this sudden issue. I have constant tinnitus in my right ear , which I just accepted but I can't accept it if I could barely hear from my left.

Has anyone else experienced this? The Prednisone working then all of a sudden stops? Did it work, then stop and work again? Has anyone else with this issue experienced progress? If so, how long did it take? Has anyone used kinerat for hearing loss?
