I’m getting married in spring 2028 and we are looking for a venue in the Somerset / Dorset area to fit 100 guests. Any recommendations?

We have a package holiday from London to Dubai booked on 5th June. FCDO is advising against all but essential travel.

Emirates are being useless and saying that they are only refunding up until 31st may and if we cancel they will take 80% of our money off us as a cancellation fee.

My insurance says they won’t know if they can cover that 80% unless we submit a claim.

If we cancel within 2 weeks of the holiday emirates will take 100% of our money…

Emirates have been terrible in this situation- haven’t reached out to us once and when we call they’re soulless and just repeat the same useless information.

What am I supposed to do? This was meant to be a holiday of a lifetime for us that we used a big chunk of our savings on. Heartbroken doesn’t begin to cover it!

Any advice would be so appreciated.
