Ham Hill is a country park and one of the UK’s largest Iron Age hillforts, located about four miles west of Yeovil.
Either in Somerset or Dorset would be ideal. It’s a bit of a random thing to be commonly available in the UK but my partner would like to try one so I would like to find somewhere that sells them.
Thanks
Hi everyone. I’m planning to come and film Bath next as part of a series where I travel around the UK visiting towns, cities and family day-out spots.
I’m not looking to do a Turdtowns-style verdict or turn anywhere into a joke, (sub if you want to join me on the journey too). Every place has its rough edges, but I’m genuinely interested in the things that make people proud to live somewhere, the bits visitors never see when they just drive through, look at TripAdvisor for ten minutes, then decide they “know” the place. I want to film the version of Bath that locals would actually show someone.
So where should I go? Best walk, view, food spot, independent place, bit of history, family-friendly stop, strange hidden corner or a lovely building!
Also, what does bath get unfairly judged for by people who have never properly spent time there? I’ll build my route from the replies. Examples of the videos I make: ⤵️
Never really thought about it until I looked at a map of England and realized I never hear anything about this region (at least in my country)
I moved to chard somerset 2 months ago and I can't seem to get hired. Im desperate for a job i have 4 years pastry chef experience but im looking for something different and seems no one hires without experience. Does anyone know of any jobs going??
Hi all, I'm helping to organise two e-bike Demo Days in Bath and London on 14th June and 5th July respectively, and to celebrate National Cycling Week, we are giving out free tickets to Reddit users to try and encourage more people to get into cycling.
We'll have about 15 bike brands attending with over 100 bikes at both events, with a range of cargo, hybrid, folding, trikes and more, it's super family friendly and a great place to start if you're interested in trying out loads of e-bikes back to back or even bringing your kids along to try out a cargo bike. Here is the event page, if you enter the code NATIONALCYCLING at checkout it will show a free ticket.

I have just moved here and just astounded at how bad people drive around Bridgwater.
Early run in an attempt to beat the heat 🥵

George and Pilgrims Inn, in Glastonbury.
Built around 1475 to host visitors to the Abbey.
Also widely considered one of the most famously haunted locations in the UK. Staff and guests report strange phenomena, including apparitions, phantom dogs, and unexplained noises.
Hello, I'm looking for anyone who might've been up in the Tor during the superstorm yesterday. I was there with 3 friends and once it was over we ran out, and now I'm wishing I stayed a bit longer to process the experience with some of the other folks stuck there with us.
It was such a terrifying, overwhelming experience and I suppose I'm seeking some connection to others who understand.
Once it had cooled down, we walked up the Sleights this evening. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been up there over the years, but every time I do, it makes me appreciate jist gow lucky we are to live in such a beautiful spot.
