Can anyone tell me more about the places listed in Herman’s Hermits - ‘It’s Nice to Be Out in the Morning’?

Hello r/manchester. I’m a keen walker and for years I’ve been listening to this song like a bit of an anthem when I set out on a walk. The only thing is, it’s all about Manchester, and I’m accidentally not from Manchester. Assuming the places listed are all still knocking about can anyone tell me more about them, what they’re known for, and what I’d see if I went on a walking pilgrimage around them today?
