Mgen positive, but resistance test negative?

I’ve tested positive for Mycoplasma genitalium twice and wanted to get a resistance test before starting antibiotics.

The lab used the same urine sample that had tested positive for Mgen. Now they’re saying the resistance test was negative because there wasn’t enough bacteria to reliably determine resistance, and they want me to submit another sample in two weeks.

I’m confused because it’s the same sample that was positive before. I understand that a low bacterial load can make resistance testing difficult, but this still seems weird to me.
Has anyone experienced this? Is this a normal limitation of Mgen resistance testing?

Neighbour with possible schizophrenia attacked me - what to expect?

A few weeks ago, my downstairs neighbour was at my door. He demanded to speak about the wi-fi. Against my will, he forced his way into my apartment, physically attacked me and accused me and other neighbours to be hacking his wi-fi for the last couple months. Of course police came and everything but he still lives there. He still thinks we‘re hacking him.

Another neighbour told me that this guy used to have psychosis in the past. It looks like it happens again, doesn‘t it? Paranoid schizophrenia? I smell cannabis everytime I walk past his door. I‘m very anxious of course and temporarily moved out.

My question: Do I have expect it to get worse? Or am I save to return to my apartment? What should I do if I encounter him in the stairwell?

Doctor says routine testing isn‘t necessary

I have my third MGen infection, discovered by routine testing. I also slowly start to have symptoms. My doctor advices that for future, I shouldn’t do routine testing for Mykoplasma Genitalium. He says it doesn‘t need to be treated if there are no symptoms. Basically he sounded like „You better shouldn‘t know you have it, then there is no problem“ lol

What do you guys think about that?

MGen third infection in a few years?!

I got a positive result for MGen. It‘s the third time in the last few years. Two times I got cured (with multiple TOCs 6 weeks after treatment). Now I have it again. Is it persistent? Am I just unlucky? I reduced my sexual contacts so much and I‘m very cautious. I don‘t get it.
