My PS2 Armored Core collection is complete!
I’ve been playing the series since PS1, and AC6 was one of the first video games my oldest kid really got into. So when I started collecting older games again, knocking this out became an early priority.
[OC] My dog has a rare condition: her spine is made of rubber.
I’m watching the TV series for the first time with my young kids. Are there any parts we should skip due to sensitive content?
Only a few episodes in it, seems pretty wholesome with bloodless violence and minimal swearing, and it’s been refreshingly free of eroticism, sexual harassment jokes or even really any romance at all. Are there any episodes that go into more questionable territory that I should avoid watching with my children?
[OC] I found a tiny snake and it brought me much happiness
I believe it is a full grown adult northern brown snake. We discovered it when we were moving around our outdoor furniture to prepare for a tree service. I’m familiar with handling snakes so I scooped it up and relocated it away from where the people were going to be working. This is the most docile wild snake I’ve ever encountered in my life. An absolute sweetheart.
I can’t believe my luck. I paid what I thought was a fair price for what I thought was a used copy of Brave Fencer Musashi at a local shop. I didn’t realize until I got it home that it was a brand new sealed copy.
Convincing myself to cut that seal was so hard. What I got is worth at least 2x what I paid for it. As soon as the seal is cut, then it’s just worth what I paid for it.
But I didn’t buy this to flip it, or as an investment, or as a collector’s item, or as a curiosity. I played this game back in the day. Borrowed it from a friend and played it in my basement until they demanded it back. I had almost beaten it. Played the FFVIII demo at least three times, too, because I was losing my mind waiting for that to come out.
I went out of my way to find this game again. Because Brave Fencer Musashi rules. I bought it to play it again, to capture a part of that experience again. To finally beat it. To be able to play it, on original hardware, for as long as possible. I want my kids to be able to play it and have that same experience. Having a new copy of the game starting out in perfect condition is 100% worthwhile to me.
And anyway, it wasn’t shrink wrapped, and only the top was sealed, so I couldn’t truly vouch for its condition without getting the discs out to check them.
So I cut the seal.
Oh. It’s for real.
A disc so pure and pristine, like an obsidian mirror.
I shoved it into the ragged dusty shitstation2 in our basement and now we’re all having a blast playing Brave Fencer Musashi.
