Set it up with NextUI right away, and I’m already loving the experience. Such a great little handheld.
Finally got my first batch of Yamamoto Paper RO-BIKI Notes!
I wasn’t expecting to like the waxed covers this much, but they feel amazing in hand. The texture and vintage look are even better in person, and I love that they’ll develop even more character with use.
Now comes the hardest part… deciding which one to use first.
Which design would you start with?
Lamy Safari Skeleton + Pelikan Edelstein Apricot Achat is such a satisfying combination. Great flow, beautiful warm shading, and the transparent body shows off the ink perfectly.
Anyone else using Apricot Achat?
I’ve been using the single-color ZENTO Signature, so I was curious about the new 3-color version.
The first thing I noticed is how premium it feels. The glossy black finish looks great, and the twist mechanism is smooth and satisfying. Despite being a 3-color pen, it feels about the same weight as the single-color Signature.
Compared to the single-color Signature, the main differences are the finish and the rear design. The single-color Signature has a matte finish, while the 3-color model is glossy black.
One small thing I noticed is that the back of the 3-color pen has a hexagonal shape. Because of that, the magnetic clip doesn’t close as smoothly as it does on the single-color Signature—you need to align the clip with the flat sides for the magnet to catch properly.
Overall, it’s an excellent multi-pen that still feels like a premium writing instrument rather than a typical 3-color pen.
First impressions are quite positive. The body is plastic and doesn’t feel particularly premium, but the build quality is solid and it feels well made.
The magnetic cap is satisfying and reminds me a bit of the Uni-ball zento Signature. The only thing I wish they had done differently is the cap design when writing. The cap attaches magnetically when closed, but there’s no magnetic attachment point on the back of the pen.
I guess it’s designed mainly to be carried on a keychain or bag, so this may not be a big issue for most users.
