Need thoughts on Appreciation vs Letting go.

I have 4 Rolex’s I’ve purchased from ADs.

My 2 submariners no date sub and date sub were wedding/honeymoon gifts.

I have two very nice grail like watches.

My gold/green diamond Daydate and my meteorite Daytona.

I don’t wear them and feel bad having money tied up in them and not using them. I’m wondering if I should sell them or sit on them with hopes they’ll appreciate one day.

Who has the best interest rates?

Looking to build a new home and shopping rates. Best I’ve found right now is better.com at 5.375 with 4.548% points.

Surely there has to be better. Located in Texas and build price is likely going to be around 825-850k.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thoughts on where to sell Rolex watches?

THIS IS NOT A FOR SALE POST: it’s seems watchexchange on Reddit has been overtaken with reps.

Have a daydate and Daytona I may be looking to sell but not sure where the best/secure place to sell/list are.

Submariners are special occasion watches (honeymoon/wedding) so holding onto those. Never wear the others anymore.

Anyone thinking of starting their own shop?

NICET IV in WBSL and NICET II in ITM waiting to get my L3.

So I can get licensed in just about any state.

I own a design and consulting firm and looking to partner with people that want to start up their own sprinkler company.

Can help with estimating, design, proposal, fire pump sales/startups, etc.

Started in the field myself worked all the way up to operations management and then now I have a consulting company helping other people start their own companies.

Rough cost to fix mortar in exterior wall.

Have these joints that are currently caulked what do you think rough cost would be to have someone actually fill these with mortar? Currently seems like they are allowing substantial air intrusion into the wall from exterior. This is east facing wall so tons of sun most of the day. Would high sun exposure and constant rain break this mortar down? Home was originally built around 09’.

Comparison of training levels for techs

Does anyone have any good data on salary expectations vs knowledge for fire alarm?

Tried to decipher some IBEW but it seems it’s a lot more than just FA/Security stuff

Any help greatly appreciated.

Water intrusion through expansion joint

I live in South Texas, and we had an expansion joint that the seal failed in the brick during a storm, and it seems there is water intrusion in that side of the wall and now our cabinets are sweating due to high humidity coming through the wall possibly does anyone have any insight on the best way to remediate this?

Fire Hydrant Flow Testing Tool

I built a hydrant flow testing tool.
You can plug in the information or if you are in the field it uses gps to find your exact location for hydrants.

Looking for some people to test it out.

If you want to maintain and log data I can create a log in but want to get some people to test it first.

Anyone in here belong to SWCC (now TPC Houston)

Looking for members or really just people in Sugarland. I am M31 looking for a gym partner, need to get back into shape.
Down to golf, attempt play basketball, learn tennis, workout, etc.

My wife and I are looking to meet new friends (they don’t have to be club members) we have lived in richmond/sugar land area for around 8 years but haven’t really got out to meet anyone since we both work and I travel a fair bit for work.

We also both work remotely now so not a lot of interaction with “work people” anymore.

Industry Inquiry – NICET III / IV (WBSL) Availability

Is anyone currently in need of a NICET Level III or IV in Water Based Systems Layout (WBSL) qualifier for a fire sprinkler contractor license?

I am exploring opportunities to serve as the qualifying party for firms seeking licensing or expansion in states such as Georgia, Washington, California, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and potentially others.

If your company is looking to secure a new license, strengthen compliance, or expand into additional markets and needs a NICET III or IV qualifier, feel free to reach out directly. I am open to discussing long term, structured partnerships that are mutually beneficial and fully compliant with state requirements.

Please send me a message if you would like to connect and discuss further.

Odd Question - Union Pay

Can someone explain to me the breakdown of union pay or send me a pay stub to show my how the wage + fringe + sis + medical + union dues actually show on a check.

I’ve never worked for a union contractor so no idea how that actually breaks out. Always worked for open shops
