I just received it today and plugged it into a wall outlet by itself. Nothing plugged into it. It immediately turned on without using the power button..It's about 65 decibels using a handheld digital sound meter.

Once it was fully charged the loud fan stopped.

The main problem is I cannot power it off using the power button. I can power it off when I pull the plug only.

Shouldn't it turn off with the power button? My little C1000 powers right off/on. I unplugged it, waited a minute and plugged it back in and still cannot power it off. I don't have any mode set, just right out of the box .

I have the above ash vacuum. I like it a lot and it does a good job. The problem is that the finer, whiter ash is clinging to the outside of the filter. I called the customer support line and he said he's been there 10 years and never heard that. Hopefully it's a bag issue and he's sending me another one.

I learned about this ash vacuum from this subreddit so I know there's at least a few of us who use it. The manual suggests tapping it but it's pretty stuck to it. Does anyone have this issue with theirs? I don't want to tap the heck out of it and tear the bag and I currently have no ash in my stove to test a new bag. Need to know if anyone else has fine ash stuck on the filter. I have a small stove and used the vacuum only a few times.
