My friend sent me an altered Moonlight Sonata sheet and told me to decipher it (I know nothing about music)

A friend sent me what looks like an edited version of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata along with a weird piano keyboard cipher chart and told me there’s a hidden message inside it.

Problem is: I have basically zero background in music theory, sheet music, or piano.

From what I understand, the notes might correspond to letters using the attached keyboard chart, but I have no idea how to properly read the sheet music or identify which notes are important.

I’m guessing the hidden message could involve:

altered notes

specific melodies

repeated patterns

timing/rhythm

or some kind of musical cryptography

I already tried randomly matching notes to letters but got nowhere.

Could anyone help analyze it or point me in the right direction? Even explaining how to start comparing the edited version to the original would help a lot.

Kingdom-building/management game with a fantasy vibe where I can see the whole kingdom from above and manage resources, citizens, expansion, economy, etc.

I’d love something with:

  • top-down or isometric view
  • citizens that actually feel alive
  • resource management and city building
  • fantasy/magic elements
  • cozy OR dark fantasy, both are fine

I’m especially looking for hidden gems or games that really make you feel like you’re ruling a living fantasy kingdom. Any recommendations?

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to track down a handwritten scoresheet from a game between Bobby Fischer and Mikhail Tal. Ideally, I’m looking for an original scan/photo of the actual scoresheet (not just a transcription of the moves).

I’ve checked a few archives and databases but haven’t had much luck finding anything authentic. If anyone knows where I could find one—whether it’s from a specific tournament, archive, book, or private collection—I’d really appreciate the help.

Even pointers to places that might have this kind of material (museums, digital archives, collectors, etc.) would be super useful.

Thanks in advance!
