As the title says, I wanna say sorry for the fear mongering about dutasteride, and my experience with it.

About 2 months ago, I wrote on this community that I lost my hairline after switching from finasteride to dutasteride.

(At the time i was 3.5 months into dutasteride).

And i really did, my hairline thinned out, and I was panicking, Because my hair was always very full and it never looked thin, not even a bit.

But I didn't stop my dutasteride usage, and I kept pushing through the shedding phase. Eventually and my hairline density came back better than ever before.

The main purpose of me writing this, Is that i don't want you to stop treatment beacuse you experience a very bad shedding phase like i did, and push through it and don't give on your hair guys.

• That's a disclaimer that this post is about my own personal experience & I share this because I want to help other guys who are experiencing similar stuff.

Hi everyone, as the title says, my hair keeps getting thinner on dutasteride and i don't understand why.

At the beginning i was suffering from a very very early case of male pattern baldness, like noorwood 1 at most, but still balding.

So I decided to start treatment asp & for 10.5 months i've been on 2mg finasteride and 2.5mg oral minoxidil everyday. I was shedding heavily on this protocol, but my hair has never looked thinner and it got thiccer and fuller overall. After 10.5 months My hair was so full and my hairloss completely stabilized.

Exactly 3.5 months ago i decided to switch from 2mg finasteride to 1.5mg dutasteride, because i wanted to maximize results. Around 1.5-2 months in and till now, I strated noticing that my hairline has gotten really thin, like I can see the scalp where my hairline is and it has never been like that before.

I wonder if anyone is familiar with similar cases?

And what can I do? Or check?
