Is the cost of living in the Philippines really as cheap as people say?
For years I’ve heard that someone making $100,000 a year in the U.S. could live like a king in the Philippines. Is that still true today?
With inflation over the past few years, I have to imagine the cost of living has gone up there as well. For those who live there or have spent a lot of time there recently, what’s the reality?
I've been trying to track down a pair of Persol 714 folding sunglasses in the 52mm size, and it seems like you cant find them on the website.
Did Persol discontinue the 52mm version, or are they just producing fewer of them these days? Most of what I'm seeing online is the 54mm.
Need some advice from the CGC crowd here.
I recently sent a few comics out to be pressed/cleaned and then submitted to CGC. Unfortunately, the package got damaged in transit and CGC rejected the shipment and returned it because the outer box was wet/damaged.
The books themselves were bagged/boarded, inside comic mailers/envelopes, and then wrapped in bubble wrap inside the box. They were not vacuum sealed or anything like that.
I sent the books back to the presser, who inspected them and said they looked good with no visible damage. He then resubmitted them to CGC, and they are currently being graded.
My main concern is long term mold development. Even if the books look okay now, is there a chance mold could develop later once they’re slabbed if they were exposed to moisture during shipping?
Has anyone dealt with something similar before? I’ll attach photos of the box damage as well.
