Why do I have to add third-party SDKs just to get a basic & essential feature like feature flags?
I was working on a new project at work and we had to add feature flags for this specific client, I was the one responsible for deciding most things as it was a new project and my biggest pain point is that I have to add an external SDK just to have something so simple and essential like feature flags.

Like giving access to your very app to these companies who are not even in your country, most of these are in US. That's like a clear possible breach of privacy.

I wanted something, found very few small ones but those were unnecessary expensive and not very convincing.

So I realised that I have found this gap, I'm sure there are people like me who don't want to deal with all the risk, managing SDKs, dependencies of SDKs, updates, compliance and what not, on top of that most of these don't even have SDKs for older projects like C# and C++.

The cost seems a lot for people outside of US for the basic plans of these companies.

And therefore being a senior full stack software engineer with 9 years of experience I build a SaaS out of it. Yes, built one for myself and I'm happy to announce that it's live, my company is now gonna use my own product, boss was surprised that I managed to pull this off.

What exactly is the solution? It's a lot of features that my developer heart wanted for himself. Just check out the app and the [50 Reasons page](https://restflags.com/why-restflags) and we should be on the same page.

And here I'm to share this with my friends on reddit.

Here's the app: [restflags.com](http://restflags.com)

Would highly appreciate if you guys can check it out 😄

Since I got inspiration from this sub, I would be happy to give out free credits too. Just DM basic details of your SaaS and I'll get you free credits as a gift 🎁 .

And I don't put AI slop everywhere so it's simple straightforward and easy to use without any bs. I just know that this isn't what a businessman decided what we want, it's a developer who decided what a developer wants.

Thanks for reading so far, it truly means a lot.

My favorite part is that its for me first, so yeah, I love it.

Also open to feedback 🙏

Have a wonderful day
