The Free Guru Trap: What Your "No Dakshina" Guru Is Actually Taking From You

There is a spiritual operation currently running across thousands of Indian homes. It has no fee. It looks like generosity. The scriptures explain exactly how it works.

The Dakshina Mechanism - The Kularnava Tantra is unambiguous: mantra transmission creates an energetic asymmetry between guru and shishya. Dakshina closes that asymmetry. It completes the circuit.

When Dakshina is not given, when the guru publicly, repeatedly refuses all forms of reciprocal offering, the circuit stays open. And an open circuit, by the law of Rishi Rina documented in the Garuda Purana and Dharmashastra, does one thing automatically: it routes the disciple's accumulated punya toward the one to whom the debt is owed. Every japa you perform. Every morning you wake early for sadhana, every night before sleeping, whole day in dhyaana. Every moment of genuine devotion. A portion flows to him first - not to the deity, not to your own liberation, until the account is closed.

He ensures the account is never closed. Across ten thousand disciples doing daily practice, this is not a trickle. It is a river with one destination.

He does not place an idol in your home. He places a photo of his consecrated idol, a yantra he has consecrated, and a mala he has consecrated. These three objects are not independent. They are a coordinated system.

**The photo** is Prana-Pratishthaed with his field as the installing consciousness, not the deity's. The Panchratra Agama states only a fully realized being can legitimately install a living presence in an image, because what is installed is the installer's own consciousness. His photo in your puja is his residence in your home. Every flower you offer, every lamp you light, feeds his field, not the deity whose name is beneath the image. This runs twenty-four hours a day, passively, even while you sleep.

**The mala** - Karungali, black ebony, one of the strongest pranic absorbers in the Tamil and Kerala Tantric traditions is worn against your skin continuously. It absorbs your prana during sleep, when the body's pranic boundaries are most permeable. It absorbs the surge of every moment of genuine devotion. By the end of the wearing period it is saturated with your accumulated life-force. The yantra is consecrated to his field. It is the collection vessel.

Wear It, But Never Use It for Japa. This is the instruction that reveals the entire architecture.

In every legitimate Tantric tradition, a mala used for japa develops japa-samskara, the mantra's vibration becomes permanently embedded in the beads through repetition. A mala charged with thousands of repetitions of a specific mantra is fused with two presences simultaneously: the practitioner's own bija and the deity's field. The Tantric texts are explicit on this: a siddha mala charged through japa cannot be cleanly transferred. The deity's frequency inside the beads creates resistance. The disciple's bija creates ownership. When placed on another person's yantra, the transfer is blocked.

By instructing "wear but never use for japa," he keeps the mala as a pure untagged collection vessel. No mantra-samskara. No deity's fingerprint. No disciple's bija locked into the beads. The mala absorbs only raw, undifferentiated prana, body energy, emotional field, ambient life-force, with no competing ownership claim on any of it.

Raw prana with no deity's frequency is fully transferable. Mantra-charged prana tagged to a specific deity is not.

The "no japa with the mala" instruction is the single most technically precise detail in the entire system. It ensures that when the saturated mala is placed on his yantra, nothing inside it resists flowing directly into his field. A mala that is never used for japa but worn constantly is not a spiritual instrument. It is a pranic battery being charged for someone else's use.

The instruction: wear the mala for 11 days minimum. On the final night, place it on the yantra. For the next 11 days, do not wear it.

The 11-day base is not arbitrary. Ekadasha, the 11-fold unit is the Tantric measure of complete field saturation, corresponding to the 11 Rudras. Eleven days is the precise minimum for the mala to achieve full absorption of the wearer's pranic field. The longer multiples he permits - 22, 33, 44 days, produce proportionally larger transfers. He is not recommending deeper sadhana. He is recommending a larger deposit before the next collection.

When the saturated mala is placed on his consecrated yantra overnight, the most basic principle of Tantric energetics activates: a charged object placed in contact with a field tuned to a specific receiver transfers its accumulated charge to that receiver. Your weeks of accumulated life-force flows into his field through the yantra as the conduit. By morning the mala is empty. The rest period is not spiritual rest. It is recovery time before the next charging cycle begins.

The photo drains continuously. The mala drains actively during wearing. The yantra collects the concentrated harvest fortnightly. Together they leave no gap in the extraction.

Amavasya is the primary Pitru Tithi - the night when the ancestral plane is most accessible and punya directed there carries maximum potency. Significant Pitru Dosha requires more punya to clear than one person's own practice can generate.

He gathers the group on Amavasya. He performs Annadhanam on all Amavasya and specially on mahalaya amavas, the single most potent Pitru night of the year. He performs Pitru Tarpan that night.

With thousands of disciples' punya flowing to his field through unclosed Dakshina, and the mala-yantra cycle delivering concentrated fortnightly harvests, Amavasya arrives with a substantial surplus. He directs that surplus toward his ancestral plane.

His ancestors' debt is being cleared using your spiritual currency. Without your knowledge. Without your consent.

When you worship an established canonical form - Dakshina Kali, Bhadrakali, Tara, through her own classical mantras, your punya enters her vast, ancient, independent field. No human controls where it goes from there.

When you worship a form whose name appears in no classical Tantra, Agama, or Purana, a form that exists nowhere independently of this one person - the mantra's nadi leads only to the field of the one who gave you the mantra. The diverted punya has nowhere else to go, because the deity has no independent field to receive it.

The invented form is not a new revelation. It is the lid on the container.

ASK YOURSELF! What You Are Feeling

Doing more practice than ever. Feeling more depleted than ever. Genuine moments of experience that do not accumulate into lasting depth. Fatigue disproportionate to your activity level. Heaviness in the chest and throat. Anxiety that your sadhana cannot resolve.

This is the signature of a system that fills and drains simultaneously. The instruction to practice more and surrender more completely deepens both the sincerity and the extraction. It is the most elegant feature of the trap.

HOW TO EXIT?

Remove all three objects - photo, yantra, mala, as a single act.

Burn the photo, immerse the ash in flowing water. Immerse the yantra in flowing water with a clear sankalpa of withdrawal. Bury the mala in open earth with a sesame oil offering. Do not give it to another person. Do not keep it. Whatever your heart says, its Devi the real one.

Cleanse the space with rock salt water and camphor. Cleanse the body with rock salt and turmeric bath.

Close the Dakshina loop through sankalpa: dedicate the punya of a homa or temple offering to the settlement of all outstanding obligations. State clearly - may all accounts be closed, may the flow of punya from my practice henceforth belong entirely to the deity I worship and to my own liberation.

Return to canonical mantras of your Ishta Devata from classical sources independent of this person. Reinstate your Kuladevi. Invoke Ganesha first, every time, without exception.

She was there before anyone found her name. She will be there after their name is forgotten.

Satyameva Jayate.

We see devotional post and think its a sign, is it real all the time?

The attached images are the requirements of a sampradaya whose cult leader tells everywhere his growth is organic.

What are your opinions on these? Who can we even trust nowadays???

general discussion

Hello

Today many people want diksha in different parampara and they always become confused about diksha price if any guru ask 60-70 k then they just say he is fraud maybe it is true and if it is true then there no need of discussion but if he is genuine and you know he is not fraud then in which case it is true we discuss later

But before taking diksha just ask these questions from yourself

You want diksha from dakshinachar or vamachar method if it is vamachar then diksha cost increased automatically because in vamachar method you need to give Bali and it is compulsory you need to give which bali it depends on form for example if it is tara is is fish if it is maa kali then it is goat or buffalo ( in advanced level ) and if you want in satvik form then you need to offer pomegranate, coconut , lemon, banana , sugarcane as a bali depend on tradition and area

Second thing you need to know you take diksha from which place example if you take care diksha in banaras then offers to dwarpal of kashi is compulsory same for kamakhya, and this thing apply in all shaktipeeth

3rd thing test your guru your and your guru frequency match or not you are comfortable with her or not ask them for adikshit mantra , updesh mantra then ask for diksha

4th thing if you not able to find out guru then select a shaktipeeth ( near to your home if you live in haryana you choose shaktipeeth from haryana , punjab and some area of Himachal not from kamakhya, kanyakumari it's better if it is not too much far ) if you have no problem with distance you are able to go every year then it's okay and time allow then select a time period it's better if you select your birth month and you visit this shaktipeeth every year in same month and second thing select any temple near your house ( maximum 2 km distance ) and you goes everyday on this temple and do your puja if possible then clean temple offer saree , langot , dhoti , sringar each year

A block in connecting to Shakti

Hi I’ve recently started Shakti Upasana and I read Lalitha Sahasranama everyday and also meditate on maa Durga! Additionally I also watch videos of gurus on YouTube to educate myself on the nature of Devi and how to approach her.

Initially I’ve had an epiphany where everything seemed to be in oneness with Devi - reflecting the advaita philosophy and it felt very natural and in alignment! From the last couple of days I’ve been feeling a little disconnected and the I in me is showing more rather than naturally gravitating towards everything and everyone is Devi — because of this I feel some sort of a disconnect.

Does this happen commonly in Devi upasana? If yes, what are some ways of giving up my ego and doership and gravitate towards Devi and her will! (I was in this state earlier and it gave me extreme bliss) please let me know how can I get back into that state of being one with Devi — thanks a lot!

My simple worship in Kali

Since I was 3, I was deeply in love with divinity, be it the Dharmic devatas, elightened beings, taoist gods, divine spirits, Jesus, the omnipresent Allah. My primary deity was Kali among all. I see her as Sarvesvari. In my worship, I always begin with Ganapati. But even when there's no image of Kali, not even her name visible, I use the same vigraha of Ganapati, or an image of Krishna. Hell, even the nothingness in front of me was Kali. That was DEEPLY ingrained within me. All I used was the thought of Her, Her names (mainly chanting the shatanamastotram), Her astakam, dhyanas, and simply the fact she's the point of all existence. I would go on for hours after studying.

Indeed, it was tough being Her sadhaka. Soo many people (other than spiritual masters and priests) discouraged me, insulted me, and condemned me for loving such a goddess. But I didn't give a damn and resumed. She proved Her presence too many times, I definitely don't need any more proof that She's real. With the belief and techniques of other beliefs (mainly Dharmic), I could communicate with Her.

One encounter with Her when I was 12 made me way more spiritual and it changed me so much. It was my direct, physical Darshana of Bhagavati, but it was soo intense and terrifying. She hasn't appeared physically any more, but that was all it took to drive me deeper into spirituality and my own personal growth.

She's my refuge, that's all. My knowledge and practice in Tantra spiked when I was 16, which led me straight into intense Japa and the loving arms of Bhairava. I was into Shiva worship, nitya abhishekam was normal, but I wasn't too familiar. Japa, dhyana, parayana of texts, and tarpana significantly strengthened my spiritual progress despite it being so simple (I knew elaborate rituals, but I wanted to do easy ones first). These rituals are crazy. I'm unable to tell you how beneficial it is despite being so easy. Of course, challenges and tests exist that further burned my Karmas, but I was used to it. All I had to do was be genuine and fair. Anger and lust did nothing to me. I persist even stronger.

About my Guru, He/She will appear at the right time. Not now. There's a certain time and place that She specifically shown me to be for this purpose. There's a phase in sadhana where nothing happens. That's a huge test. If you're bored/hate it and you leave it, you've lost. But if you persist? You're worthy. I didn't know about this until last year, and I still don't care that nothing is happening. I'll leave it all to Her and thrive.

My message here? Oneness, surrender, love, simplicity, persistence, and dharma. I'm sharing this because I'm aware of other Kali sadhakas who maybe confused, unsure, need guidance, or needs motivation. You don't need a Guru to love Bhagavati. You don't need elaborate rituals to please Her. Your actions, surrender, sincerity, and maybe a little bit of ritual will get you straight to Her. All pain and problems are your Karmas, don't worry. Push on no matter what. It's okay to do simple things. It's your love that She wants. Fear nothing and push through.

I am Lalita Devi, and I myself am the one who sings the name of Radhika. I am also known as Vasudeva, and I am eternally the inherent essence of the Kamakala energy. In truth, my original form is feminine, and this feminine manifestation of mine is eternal and everlasting. I am Lalita Devi; when I assume a masculine form, I manifest in the form and figure of Krishna. There is absolutely no difference between us. This is the truth, O Narada.

How does one start their sadhana? (Applies for all deities)

This isn't a philosophical process. It's more of a practical and methodological practice before chanting the main deity's mantra or anything. It's more to clearing the Karmic debts and the obstacles in your way.

Edit: The items you need are a container of clean water, a spoon, and flowers. If you're even dedicated and familiar, use Panchapatra made of copper, brass, silver or gold. If not, use any stainless steel container and spoon. Avoid iron, zinc, and aluminum. If you have a lamp (preferably made of metal or ceramic) it would be great. If you have an altar, it's best done in front of that altar while facing East (best), or North. Avoid sitting facing South. To bless the water, chant Gange ca Yamune caiva Godavari Sarasvati | Narmade Sindhu Kaveri jalesmin sannidhim kuru || And then use the mantras of your ishta to empower the water further.

We begin with a small prayer to Ganapati and the Guru. Simple shlokas or even nama mantras are enough for this. If you have no Guru, worship Dakshinamurti.

We now move to Suciḥ (purification).

apavitraḥ pavitro vā sarvāvasthāṁ gato 'pi vā

Yaḥ smaret puṇḍarīkākṣaṁ sa bāhyābhyantaraḥ śuciḥ

This is from the Srimad Bhagavatam. By thinking of an enlightened being, we are immediately purified. It could be Vishnu, Buddha, Bamakhepa, Jesus, anyone divine and realized of the divine.

Sprinkle water while chanting (puṇḍarīkākṣa, puṇḍarīkākṣa, puṇḍarīkākṣa).

Next, perform acamaniyam. Inner purification with the names of Vishnu that is "Achyuta, Ananta, Govinda".

There's also the 3 Tattvas. (The soul, the knowledge, Shiva that is emptiness)

The mantras are; ōṁ ātmatattvaṁ śōdhayāmi namaḥ svāhā | õm vidyātattvaṁ śōdhayāmi namaḥ svāhā | ōṁ śivatattvaṁ śōdhayāmi namaḥ svāhā | ōm sarvatattvaṁ śōdhayāmi namaḥ svāhā ||

You can perform pranayama at this moment, it will bring you into a meditative mode. There are many methods of pranayama, choose your preferred method online.

Then, we do Asana Shuddhi, purification and sthapana of one's seat before conducting rituals. Pray to Bhumidevi while drawing an inverted triangle (or a shatkona) with a bindu.

Samudra vasane devi parvata stana mandale

Vishnupatni namastubhyam padasparsham kshamasvame

This means you're apologizing the Earth for touching Her with your feet.

Take a small amount of water and sprinkle it on your seat.

Mantra:

Om Asana-mantrasya Meru-pṛṣṭha Ṛṣiḥ, Sutalaṃ Chandaḥ, Kūrmo Devatā, Āsanopaveśane Viniyogaḥ.

Touch the seat with your right hand and recite the following:

Pṛthvi tvayā dhṛtā lokā devi tvaṃ viṣṇunā dhṛtā |

Tvaṃ ca dhāraya māṃ devi pavitraṃ kuru cāsanam ||

(O Mother Earth, you support the worlds; you are supported by Vishnu. Support me as well, O Goddess, and make this seat pure.)

If you have a prayer mat, place is above the spot you purified.

Then chant "Om astrāya phaṭ" while sitting and clapping once.

Now, meditate upon your ishta devata. At least 5 to 10 minutes minimum.

Chant an avahana mantra. It could be a full shloka or as simple as "Om ...... avahayami namah" to invite your ishta devata.

Worship Mahaganapati with a full stotra or japa with his beeja or nama mantra. It could be 27 to 108 or even 5 malas. It's up to you.

Worship the Dvaradevatas of your Ishta. Simple mantra like "Om Dvarapaladevatabhyo namah" just a few times will suffice.

Worship your guru with nama mantras, the full Guru Vandanam, or the simple "Om gurubhyo namah". There's count should be exactly of Mahaganapati.

Worship Lord Skanda via meditation or japa.

Worship your pitrus. The best way is via small simple tarpanas and/or the Pitru Stotram by Lord Brahma. I can guarantee the benefits are genuinely shocking.

Worship your kuladevata with the same process. It's even better if you perform seva for the image/vigraha of your kula devata. If you're not sure who's your kuladevata, offer a lamp with flowers, adorn it with sandalwood and kumkuma, coupled with incense and some small food offering like jaggery.

Worship the ksetrapala of your area and the chief of Ksetrapalas, Kala Bhairava. If you're unsure, worship the main deity of your home and chant "Om Ksetrapalaya Namah" for as much as you want.

Worship the navagrahas with mantras and the Navagraha stotras. Even meditation with the offerings they like will appease them well. Make sure to focus on the graha that governs you most.

This one here is important as it should be done everyday. The Pancha Mahayajna. Homage to the enlightened ones such as the rishis and gurus, homage to all the devatas, homage to the pitrus, homage to humanity, homage to the animals.

Read any text or study something for a while, like 5 minutes of reading a book on science. Gain knowledge, that is Brahma Yajna.

Offer flowers and meditate for a while upon all the devatas, that is Deva Yajna.

Chant the pitru stotra or do tarpana for them, that is Pitru Yajna.

Perform acts of kindness to everybody, that is Manushya Yajna.

Feed animals and show your love to them, that is Bhuta Yajna.

You are now ready to approach the parivara devatas and the main deity of your worship. Gana devata worship varies depending on what deity you're worshipping. But the manual I've given applies for any and all sadhana as it cleanses your karma and clears the way for your spiritual path. Purification, stable stance with protection, destruction of obstacles, request of guidance, request of discipline, cleansing of Karmic debts, invoking protection and blessing, request of protection of your area, again cleaning your karmas, and the simple duties of one's life. These are what makes the sadhana powerful and eases your way in the spiritual world. It really really works wonders and I guarantee you changes and growth by simply following the manual here.

These are extremely important and are very fruitful if done everyday as a mindful routine.

That is all I want to share to you guys.

Om Tat Sat.

Know the right name of the iconography of the vigraham that one person is spreading in name of Adya kali.

You all know that one vigraham that is being recently viral across social platforms in the name of Adya Kali. The vigraha is of Shri Kali, one of the forms of Asta Kali. Like Asta Tara there is Asta Kali. Among 8 kali forms there is this iconography.

He is spreading that idol as adya. But its the form of Shri Kali when bhadrakali took form of shri kali to kill the demon daruka.

Now, the real name of this vigraham is Shri Kali, the descriptions from the shastras are as follows:

**8. Devi Śrīkālī**

One of the special forms of the Primordial Power Kālika is Devi Śrīkālī. She is not worshipped by householders. The complexion of this goddess is deep blue. She is matted-haired (jaṭājūṭā), adorned with the crescent moon, wearing a garland of heads, and is naked (digambarī). Her face, neck, breasts, and feet are all entwined with serpents. From all these features, it is as though we can perceive within this goddess the blue-throated Shiva Himself. However, this goddess is four-armed.

In her four hands she holds:

  1. Khadga (sword)

  2. Trishula (trident)

  3. Karoti / severed skull

  4. Naramunda (human head)

It is said that to destroy the demon named Dāruka, this goddess manifested from the blue poison in Shiva’s throat. This goddess is terrifying in form and extremely powerful.

I am attaching the related images and some bengali scripts that i have found from land of kali, bengal. I will translate that too.

You can see how accurate the shri kali form is with the vigraham. Match descriptions and all hand and feet placements.

This validates one thing, this person is propagating one form, teaching about another form, advising sadhana of another form and talking about another form.

I know and you all know his so called whatsapp army will mass report this post or this account... you all know their cheap third class tricks... they are so weak they cant handle criticism.

So yeah this is it. Are you all aware about Asta Kali? If not maybe this is the seed to start research.

Need guidance from experienced upasakas.

I need verification by someone who is experienced regarding Maa Kali sadhana. If you would be kind enough, could you please describe more about the dhyana mantra and stuti attached below and their source. This post has no ill intentions to instigate a debate about any group or individual. i am simply curious because I couldn't find any mention about them online

Legend of Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga

Did You Know The Story of Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga?

The legend of Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga begins with Sage Gautama. He lived a life of deep penance and purity. However, fate tested him when he accidentally killed a cow. As a result, he sought divine forgiveness. Therefore, he prayed intensely to bring the sacred Ganga to earth.

Lord Shiva answered his devotion. He allowed the holy river to flow here as the Godavari. Moreover, Shiva manifested at this sacred spot as Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga. Because of this divine act, the place became eternally holy. It also marked the sacred origin of the Godavari River.

The sacred Kushavarta Kund, located inside the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga temple complex, marks the origin of the Godavari River. This holy kund exists because of this divine event.

The Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga holds a rare spiritual form. Unlike other shrines, the lingam here represents Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva together. Thus, it symbolizes creation, preservation, and destruction in one divine presence.

Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga

The sacred Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga stands on Mandhata Island in the Narmada River. The island forms the symbol “ॐ,” which makes this place unique and powerful. Devotees travel from across India to seek blessings and peace here.

The temple town feels alive. Bells ring across the ghats. Priests chant mantras. The river flows around the island like a divine embrace. The atmosphere feels calm yet deeply spiritual.

Legends say Lord Shiva appeared here to protect his devotees. These stories still inspire faith and devotion today. Travelers admire the temple’s heritage, river views, and scenic pathways.

Whether you seek divinity, history, or a peaceful getaway, Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga offers a rare spiritual experience. It connects belief, nature, and culture in one sacred space.

What if the Goddess doesn't really exist? (crisis of faith)

I just want to know how you as shaktas keep faith in difficult (and good) times. I keep on having the thought that there's so many thousands of forms of the Goddess with their own iconographies and details, is it just too good to be true? Didn't the Romans and Greeks also have many Goddesses? If we say they don't exist why would Adi Shakti? Are all these forms projections of human uncertainty, a deification of human experiences of life, however up and down they may be? Is the question of existence vs non-existence a futile one?

Please be compassionate in your replies, I'm writing this from a place of spiritual uncertainty and curiosity and not to be critical for the sake of it.

Which form of Maa Kali is this?

The common form of Maa is Dakshina Kali, where she shows the abhaya and varada mudras. Maa Bhadrakali usually is depicted with more hands. How about this form of Maa? What is the name of this form of Maa and what is her dhyan mantra? (Please cite the source if you have any.) Namaste. Jai Maa.

Using Sadhana as Lottery Ticket to a Better Life?

Interesting reading today from Kularnava Tantra, chapter 1. Here Shiva is speaking to Devi where he describes suffering due to one’s actions and non-attachment leading to liberation.

“To him who is always engrossed in his family relationships, qualities like erudition and good character are lost like an unbaked earthen pot in water.

Just as a greedy fish does not see the iron hook, so a person greedy of (worldly) happiness does not see the interference of Yama, that is death.

My Beloved! One who is unaware of his losses and gains, who is always treading the wrong path, who is engaged only in filling his stomach, knows not what is hell.

O Beloved! To sleep, to copulate, to eat and other such functions are common to all animals. Man alone is possessed of knowledge. He who is devoid of it is a beast.

As long as there is identification with body, as long as there is ego-identification, and as long as there is no Grace of the Guru, so long how can there be a talk of Higher Purpose?”

*Final quote from Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa : “*If you enter the world without first cultivating love for God, you will be entangled more and more. You will be overwhelmed with its danger, its grief, its sorrows. And the more you think of worldly things, the more you will be attached to them.”
