🎯दुर्गा का अर्थ केवल 'दुर्ग का नाश करने वाली' नहीं है।

देवी उपनिषद में देवी स्वयं कहती हैं कि वे ब्रह्मस्वरूप हैं तथा प्रणव (ॐ) में ही स्थित हैं। इसका मायने कि देवी किसी एक रूप तक सीमित नहीं, बल्कि सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि की मूल चेतना हैं।

🎯देवी युद्ध से पहले भी करुणा का अवसर देती हैं।

देवी महात्म्य में शुम्भ-निशुम्भ और महिषासुर को अनेक अवसर दिए जाते हैं कि वे धर्म का मार्ग स्वीकार करें। युद्ध अंतिम उपाय बनता है, पहला नहीं।

🎯सिंह केवल वाहन नहीं, धर्म और निर्भयता का प्रतीक है।

अनेक पुराणों में सिंह को अहंकार पर नियंत्रण, साहस और धर्म की अडिग शक्ति का प्रतीक माना गया है। देवी सिंह पर आरूढ़ होकर बताती हैं कि शक्ति का आधार सदैव धर्म होना चाहिए।

🎯देवी को 'विश्वमाता' कहा गया है, केवल देवताओं की माता नहीं।

देवी भागवत पुराण में वे देव, दानव, मनुष्य, पशु-पक्षी यानि सभी की समान माता कही गई हैं। उनके लिए कोई अपना-पराया नहीं। वे इससे इतर है!

🎯देवी का वास्तविक युद्ध बाहर से पहले भीतर होता है।

देवी महात्म्य के अनेक आचार्यों ने महिषासुर को केवल एक असुर नहीं, बल्कि मनुष्य के भीतर के अहंकार, शुम्भ को दर्प और निशुम्भ को ममता का प्रतीक भी माना है। इस प्रकार देवी की विजय आत्म-विजय का संदेश देती है।

इन प्रसंगों से स्पष्ट होता है कि माँ दुर्गा केवल असुर-संहार की देवी नहीं है, वे चेतना, विवेक, करुणा, निर्भयता और आत्म-जागरण की अधिष्ठात्री शक्ति हैं। यही कारण है कि शास्त्रों में उनकी उपासना का उद्देश्य केवल बाहरी विजय नहीं, बल्कि भीतरी अज्ञान पर विजय भी माना गया है।

🚩मां Kamakhya Temple is one of the most beautiful and spiritually powerful Shakti Peethas in India. It is situated on Nilachal Hill overlooking the Brahmaputra River.
