Audi S4 B8 (CAKA) - P2006 & P2007 mystery, replaced almost everything and the issue persists

Hey everyone,
Audi S4 B8 CAKA, the car is throwing P2006 and P2007 codes. So far, a lot of parts related to this have been replaced, but the problem is still there. The car is on the stock tune, not chipped or modified in any way, everything is completely stock.

So far, the following has been replaced:
- Vacuum pump
- Both solenoids responsible for opening the runner flaps
- Intake manifolds complete with position sensors

Additionally, we did the following:
- Checked all vacuum lines (they hold vacuum perfectly)
- Checked the wiring harness going to the flaps

The problem remains exactly the same, and the fault codes trigger for both banks at the exact same time. The error always pops up at low RPMs (1500-2500 RPM).
Additional note: My car does not have a vacuum-actuated water pump. The water pump is fully mechanical without any vacuum lines.
I am completely out of ideas on what to look at next. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Audi S4 B8: Pre-facelift to Facelift Stalk Retrofit

Just wanted to share a quick update on my S4 B8. Successfully retrofitted the facelift steering column stalks!

Everything works perfectly fine with zero issues. It is purely a cosmetic mod for a cleaner, more modern look - no extra features or performance benefits, but it makes the interior feel much fresher.

B8 S4 throwing intermittent P2006 & P2007 (Both Banks Stuck Closed)

Hey everyone,

I'm dealing with an intermittent issue on my B8 Audi S4 and could use some advice. I keep getting P2006 and P2007 (Intake Manifold Flap Bank 1 & Bank 2 Stuck Closed) at the exact same time.

The issue only happens under intermediate/partial throttle at mid-RPMs, and it usually triggers only when the car is fully warmed up, and the ambient temperature outside is hot. It never throws a code while revving at a standstill or under wide-open throttle (WOT).

Here is everything I have already checked, tested, and replaced so far:

  • IMRC Solenoid Valve: Replaced with a brand new OEM Pierburg unit.
  • Vacuum Pump: Replaced with a brand new OEM Pierburg unit.
  • Vacuum Lines: All vacuum lines have been thoroughly inspected and double-checked multiple times; everything is routed perfectly and securely connected.
  • Flaps & Carbon Cleaning: I recently pulled the supercharger, completely cleaned the flaps/runners, and ensured they were flipped open properly during reinstallation so they aren’t physically binding under the housing.
  • Vacuum Isolation Test: I used a syringe/vacuum pump directly on the lower lines going to both banks. Both actuators pull fully and hold a vacuum perfectly for over 10 minutes without dropping a single millimeter.

Since the entire vacuum system is fully refreshed and the mechanical flaps hold vacuum perfectly on their own, what should I check next? Where should I look for the root cause of this problem?

Any input would be highly appreciated!

Hi everyone,

I’m chasing a ghost in my Audi S4 B8 (3.0 TFSI) steering system, and I’m officially out of ideas.

The Problem: My Servotronic steering cuts out randomly. Sometimes it happens after 1 km, sometimes after 5 km, and the steering suddenly becomes extremely heavy. It's completely unpredictable.

What I’ve done so far:

  • New Servo Pump: I replaced the old one with a brand new MEYLE pump (which comes with the solenoid). The problem remained the same as with the old pump.
  • System Flush: Performed a full fluid flush during the pump swap.
  • Wiring Check: Inspected the connector at the pump; the pins look clean, and no obvious corrosion.
  • Diagnosis: OBDeleven shows code 02838 - Servotronic Solenoid Valve (N119): Electrical Error in Circuit.

Since the issue is identical with both the old and the brand-new pump, I’ve ruled out the solenoid/pump itself. It feels like an electrical "on/off" switch issue. Interestingly, I've noticed it sometimes triggers specifically when the car changes pitch (like hitting a short incline), which makes me suspect a wiring or connection issue.

Could this be a failing J519 (Central Electrics) module, or is there a specific spot in the wiring harness on the B8 platform that's known to rub through or break?

Has anyone dealt with this "Static Electrical Error" after already replacing the pump? Any help would be appreciated.
