37F, tubular adenomas removed
I had my colonoscopy 2 weeks ago. This is probably my 3rd or 4th, and each time I’ve gotten polyps removed. The first procedure, I had to get 18 removed. This time, the doctor informed me that 10 were removed and some were tubular adenomas and some were hyperplastic, in the ascending and sigmoid colon. I keep reading that these are typically slow-progressing, if they were to turn into cancer. However, I’m getting really worried about the thought of cancer rapidly forming in between colonoscopies. I’m only 37, but I keep reading that more and more younger people are being diagnosed with colon cancer. The doctor wants to repeat the procedure in a year.
