Moonwalker lenticular poster - origins?

Hi everyone!

I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me identify this Michael Jackson Moonwalker holographic/lenticular poster. I’ve searched eBay, Google and image searches extensively but I cannot find another example that looks like this one. It has a genuine changing-image effect; when you tilt it, the MOONWALKER lettering moves and Michael’s image/head changes position as well. It appears to be an older/vintage piece and has some wear, including the holographic layer lifting on corners, but the effect is still very clear. I’m trying to find out as much as possible about it before I consider selling it , does anyone recognise this exact piece or own one themselves? I’d love to know approximately what year it was produced, what country it was released in, who manufactured it/what brand it is, whether it was officially licensed Michael Jackson/Moonwalker merchandise or promotional material, how it was originally distributed/sold, and what something like this might realistically be worth in its current condition. Any information, catalogue references, old advertisements or photos of another example would be hugely appreciated!

First e-reader purchase: avid reader, audiobook listener, and obsessive annotator—what should I buy?

I know this is probably one of the most discussed topics on this subreddit, but I've read so many posts, watched so many videos, and gone down so many rabbit holes that I'm honestly overwhelmed and don't know where to start anymore.

I'm trying to decide between the Kobo Clara (either BW or Colour) and the Kobo Libra Colour as my very first e-reader.

A bit about me:

- I'm a very avid reader and own 1,000+ physical books.

- I've always been a paperback person and still love physical books.

- I read very immersively and often follow along with an audiobook while reading.

- I have a huge audiobook collection already, so storage isn't a major factor for me. I'm buying an external HDD anyway to store my audiobook library.

- I'm a university student and spend a lot of time out running errands, so portability is important. Both devices seem small enough to throw in a handbag, which is exactly what I want.

- One of my motivations for getting an e-reader is that I hate carrying physical books around because I'm always worried about damaging them. I baby my books and usually keep them protected in a sleeve.

One thing that might be important: I LOVE annotating.

I don't actually write in my physical books, but I use annotation tabs religiously and absolutely cover my books in them. On an e-reader I'd probably be highlighting passages constantly.

For that reason, I'd love to hear whether people think the Libra Colour is significantly better for annotation than the Clara models, especially since I don't really care about colour for reading itself.

I don't read comics, graphic novels, manga, cookbooks, etc. I read almost exclusively novels, so black-and-white content is completely fine for me.

The only colour-related things that appeal to me are:

- Seeing coloured highlights while annotating.

- Having colour screensavers/book covers.

As for pricing here in Australia:

- Clara BW: $234 AUD

- Clara Colour: $240 AUD

- Libra Colour: $343 AUD

Price isn't a huge issue, but I still want the best value for money. If the Libra's benefits genuinely justify the extra $100+, I'd happily pay it. If not, I'd rather save the money.

Some other things I'd like to do:

- Easily transfer ebooks and audiobook files from my laptop.

- Use Libby.

- Potentially read things like Wattpad/fanfiction.

- Avoid being locked into an ecosystem.

That's actually why I'm leaning Kobo over Kindle. I don't use Amazon much, already have my own audiobook files, and use services like Libby and Hoopla. Kobo seems like a better fit for how I already consume books.

Part of me worries I'll buy an e-reader and never use it because I love physical books so much. But at the same time, there are a lot of books, ARCs, indie releases, fanfiction, and digital-only titles that I simply can't get in paperback where I live. Reading those on my phone isn't ideal, and currently I use my laptop, which isn't exactly comfortable either.

For people who were lifelong physical-book readers before getting an e-reader:

- Which model would you recommend?

- Did you end up using it more than expected?

- Is the Libra Colour worth the extra cost for someone who highlights a lot?

- Or would a Clara BW/Colour be the smarter first e-reader purchase?

I'd love to hear from people who have owned both devices or made the same decision recently. Thanks!

Ear irritation from AirPods Pro — alternatives with good ANC + Tile/AirTag tracking?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been having a really frustrating issue and would love some recommendations.

I recently got AirPods Pro 3s, but they’ve been causing pretty bad ear irritation/pressure sores after only short use. I’ve used the original AirPods Pro before with no issues, and even other earbuds in the past were fine, so I didn’t expect this.

I’m now looking to switch away from the Pro-style in-ear silicone tip design and try something else, but I still have a few requirements:

•	Good Active Noise Cancellation (ANC is really important to me)

•	Comfortable for long wear (no pressure in ear canal)

•	Preferably NOT Apple

•	Some kind of tracking support (AirTag / Tile / built-in location) because I’m really prone to losing earbuds and I liked how easy AirPods made that

I’ve been wondering:

•	Are the AirPods 4 with ANC worth trying despite being open-fit?

•	Or should I skip them entirely and go straight to non-Apple brands?

•	What are the best alternatives right now for strong ANC without the ear pressure issue?

I love the look of the sennheiser momentum 4 earbuds, does anyone recommend those?

Any recommendations would be really appreciated — especially from people who switched away from AirPods Pro for comfort reasons.

Thanks!

Airpod Pro 3 Pressure Sores?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue with the AirPods Pro 3s.

I’ve only had mine for a couple of weeks and they’re causing abrasions/pressure sores around the opening of my ears (photo attached). The right ear is worse, but the left also has a smaller sore starting.

The weird part is I used to wear 1st gen AirPods Pros constantly with zero issues, and I also used JBL earbuds all the time with no irritation at all — I could even sleep in both comfortably.

I’m already using the extra extra small tips, and I know the insertion/fit is correct, so I really don’t think it’s user error. It feels more like the shape/design of the earbuds themselves are rubbing against my ear cartilage.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Pro 3s specifically?

Did your ears eventually adjust after healing, or did the irritation keep coming back?

Trying to decide whether I should:

- give my ears a break and try again later,

- try different foam tips,

- or just return them altogether.

Would love to hear if anyone had the same issue and what ended up happening.

Solutions to bookbuddy into goodreads

Has anyone successfully transferred a large BookBuddy library into Goodreads?

I have 1200+ books logged in BookBuddy and can export everything as a CSV, but Goodreads imports only seem to work properly with Goodreads-format CSV files.

I already tried using LibraryThing as a middle step:

- imported my BookBuddy CSV into LibraryThing using Smart Import

- then exported from LibraryThing for Goodreads

…but LibraryThing couldn’t properly process all 1200+ books, so it didn’t work.

I really want to avoid manually rewriting or copying thousands of entries into the Goodreads spreadsheet template.

Does anyone know:

- a better conversion method?

- a script/tool that maps BookBuddy CSV columns to Goodreads format?

- an easier bulk import workaround?

Any help would seriously save me hours 😭
