Starting Naltrexone again and am wanting to do it right this time.

Im on my third day of taking Nal. Starting at 25 and will bump up to full 50 as needed. I take it about 1 hour before I have my first drink. I still seem to drink anywhere from 3-5 drinks no problem. And I realize that this pill isn't a magic bullet and will still need to enact some discipline on my part.

My current mantra is just "trust the process" without knowing what that means. I have been waking up much more stable and clear the last three days so it has to be doing something right for me.

The last attempt with this I ended up maybe trying to push it too aggressively and ultimately stopped taking it because of no real reason other than me not being satisfied with the results. I wasnt "cured" after taking it two weeks so clearly I thought it wasn't going to work.

Any insight on timeline and the idea of "trusting the process" would be appreciated.

Overall love my new boy but to be honest, I don't think I'd get another puppy alone ever again.

I got my Bouvier boy at about 9 weeks. Took a week off from work to get our routine figured out. Overall, he is a VERY good boy and has generally been pretty easy. Still need to wake up around 4 for a bathroom trip which is growing to be exhausting, and the biting and accidents happen on and off throughout the day but he's getting better.

This is my third dog being raised from a puppy. However, this is my first time doing it alone. Its rewarding because any progress is a direct result of my work Im putting in but my god, some days it would be so nice to have someone around and give me a break.

Looking forward to the day where I don't have to be "on" 24/7 ensuring he isn't misbehaving or having accidents. But I know this puppy period will be a thing of the past before I know it and I'll probably forget the struggles.

Painful welt EVERY SINGLE TIME

I had been on TRT for about 6 months last year and after a while I simply couldn't take the pain and visibly noticeable welt I get at my injection site. This happens literally every time I give myself a shot. The skin around the injection site becomes red and inflamed, and you can literally see a swollen welt when Im wearing joggers.

I started up again hoping for the best but nope...two days later, same story. Any suggestions on alternatives? Ive looked into injecting into the thigh and have heard Delts are an option as well.

I recently bought a home which I am very grateful to even have the opportunity to do so. However, the circumstances involved make me struggle day to day with being lonely. My boyfriend and I decided we would live apart after living together for 1.5 years.

Its so hard. I can catch glimpses of why its good and can start to feel the engine turning on really getting to know myself but I'd be lying if I said I don't carry some resentment. He is wealthy, is moving to a house that he is paying cash for. His home wont have the issues my 100+ year old house has. He's stable and well off.

The thread I am clinging to is this idea of self love and finally, for the first time in almost 15 years, giving myself what I need. This sub has been helpful to read every morning because typically mornings are the roughest for me. Any idea how long this transitional period will last? I am basically learning how to care and love for myself for the first time and im 37 years old.
