TIL that naltrexone is not only safe with antidepressants, but can actually enhance the effects and improve mood when people take both together.

One of the things I've always wondered about naltrexone is how it impacts mental health. Since it blocks pleasure receptors, I just assumed it would have a detrimental effect on mental health or have bad interactions with mental health meds. But I just learned that, not only does naltrexone not interact with mental health meds, it's actually been shown to improve mood in people who are taking both antidepressants and naltrexone. This was specifically studied on people taking naltrexone for alcohol, but I assume the effect is the same for anyone taking it, whether for alcohol, food addiction, porn addiction, or opioid addiction. Does this surprise anyone else, that it actually causes an upswing in mood when paired with depression meds?

How soon will the "future" of AI be upon us?

It feels like the last couple of years have been absolutely insane in the explosion of AI. On the model front, we've got a slew of new competitors like deepseek and more tailored models like Muse Spark and MiMo. Tech is going mobile with AI smartphones, processors like the Ambient Scientific GPX-10 that make edge devices with AI more possible, AI glasses, etc. AI is being integrated into the business world, not replacing employees, but streamlining and automating many parts of a company. Even traditional consulting firms, like Alliantgroup and pwc are integrating AI as a major part of their business practice, basically helping businesses implement AI in their workflows and get better ROI.

Everything that's happening with AI now feels like what we thought the future of AI would be, but it seems to be coming at us really fast. Major downsides of AI, like energy expenditure, are being dealt with and overcome pretty quickly (the GPX-10, for instance, can extend battery-life significantly). So, are we here? Is this the future? What's the next stage? If you envision 5 years, 10 years down the road, where do you see AI in everyday life?

Personally, I think in 5 years companies who haven't integrated AI in some significant way will be falling behind, and in 10 years they'll be obsolete. AI can just do too much, too quickly for it not to become a major factor in business success. Are companies that try to avoid it hastening their own demise?

How worried are you about AI?

I'm on the brand side of UGC/content, but I'm curious as to how things are feeling on the creator side. I've been in a lot of threads lately where other brands/ marketers are talking about going fully AI, and I'm really surprised by this, because in my experience AI video just isn't there in terms of quality yet and the real creators I find through Billo still make better videos. So, as creators, are you worried about AI taking over, or do you feel like the AI craze will die down when marketers realize real creators can still do it better?

What's your niche, and where do you find UGC creators?

Who's using UGC for marketing (physical products, digital products, services)? If you have experience, what niche are you advertising and where do you find the creators you use for UGC? Do you go through an actual agency? Do you use a platform like Billo? Do you do call-outs on socials? Do you post in the UGC subs here? Basically, what's your go-to, and what's working in UGC?

I've seen a lot of creators lately uploading videos to Youtube who keep getting called out as their videos being AI when their videos are originals. Some of them are starting to use "proof" apps that basically record the capture data for a video and create a footprint from creation to distribution.

Is this the new norm for video protection? Will you need a point-of-capture data proof of when and where a video was created? Will this type of "proof" be sufficient to prove the originality of a video? A lot of media companies are using apps like OpenOrigins Source for this very purpose, and I wonder if it's going to become an across the board thing in videography.

I've seen quite a few creators uploading videos to Youtube lately (especially shorts) who keep getting called out for their videos being AI when I know their videos are originals. Some of them are talking about using proof apps that record the capture information of a video so they can prove their videos are legit. Is this the future of video protection, creating a point-of-capture data proof of when and where the video was created? Will it be sufficient to prove originality and ownership? I know a lot of media companies are using apps like OpenOrigins Source to create this kind of proof.
