Staying Asleep

Do anyone else struggle to stay asleep at night? I’m really getting sick and tired of constantly waking up multiple times a night every night. What do you take to help you stay asleep?

Lithium

Just curious how do you that take lithium manage? I’m so scared of that med I was put on it 4 years ago when I got diagnosed and went inpatient. I took it for the 4 days I was in the hospital and immediately stop once I got out the hospital and never took it again. I here so many people say it work so good and is the gold standard for bipolar.

Im mostly stable and medicated since my diagnosis but im just curious because im still having my meds adjusted every few months.

Other meds that works like Vraylar?

What med did you find that works similar to vraylar? I was on vraylar 3mg for about 8 months and it was probably the best I’ve felt out of my whole 3-4 years on medication. We had to lower it back down to 1.5mg back in December because I was having strong muscle tightness and spasms in my cheeks. And I feel like every since we lowered it I haven’t felt the same we added lamictal about a month ago to help with some depression symptoms I’ve been having but I’m still not feeling much of a difference yet. So I’m thinking we might have to change vraylar to something else since we can’t go back up on the dose.

Urge to stop meds.

Do you ever feel the urge to just stop your meds? I’ve been relatively stable since my diagnosis 3 years ago but I’m over medication. I miss how I use to feel and thinking about stopping my vraylar and possibly my Wellbutrin to. Anyone have experience with stopping your meds?

Can lamictal affect your period?

Has anyone on lamictal had any issues with it messing with their period?? I’m not on birth control because I got my tubes tied 6 years ago and my period is always regular like never and I mean never late. But this month it’s late I’m on day 3 no period and no signs it’s even going to start soon. I’ve been on lamictal almost 2 weeks now. So that’s the only change I had recently and now my period is late. Has this happened to anyone before??

So I just got Lamictal 25mg add to my cocktail of meds which are vraylar 1.5mg Wellbutrin 300mg and we upped buspar to 7.5mg twice daily.

Just a little back story I was on vraylar 3mg and stable but I started having a very concerning side effect so we lowered it down to 1.5mg and I’ve been in a depressive episode so today we added lamictal 25mg and she wants to see me again in 2 weeks to see if everything is going ok or improving.

My question is for anyone on this combo can tell me about their experience and if your not on this combo but on lamictal can you tell me your thoughts and experience with this med and how long did it take you to get to a therapeutic dose? Also what side effects did you get if any?
