Appreciation Post for SMC Health Center

I’ve visited the SMC Health Center more than five times now, and I genuinely feel it deserves some appreciation.

The facility has been consistently clean, hygienic, and well-maintained every time I’ve gone there. Medicines prescribed there have worked well for me on every visit.

I think more citizens should take advantage of the facilities available there.

Just wanted to share a positive experience.

The guy next door, quite literally!

There’s a man living right next to my house. Well... not originally. His family moved into the house beside ours a few years ago.

Not next door in the usual sense. We live in row houses. Our walls are connected. Our backyards are separated by a single fence. My room is right beside his room.

At this very moment, I could be sitting less than ten feet away from him. There’s just a wall between us.

For all these years, we barely spoke. I work from home and spend most of my time indoors. He’s always out working or with friends. We existed in the same space but lived completely separate lives.

Then his sister got married.

During the wedding functions, something changed.

We kept catching each other’s eyes. Nothing dramatic.
During one of the functions, in front of all his friends and relatives, he came up to me and asked if I had eaten or needed anything.

It sounds so small. But the thing is, he’s incredibly shy. He barely talks to women in our society. Watching him walk up to me in front of everyone felt so unlike him that I still think about it.

And now the wedding is over. It’s been weeks.

We don’t have each other’s numbers. We don’t text. We hardly even see each other.

Yet I hear his voice every day through the wall as he talks to his family. Sometimes I hear him laughing. Sometimes I hear him coming home late. Sometimes I hear him leaving for work.

He’s close enough that our lives almost overlap. But not enough for us to actually be part of each other’s lives.

I don’t even know what I’d say if we actually talked.

But sometimes I sit in my room and wonder if he’s sitting on the other side of the wall at the exact same moment.

Breathing the same air lol.

Disheartened, but proud

If I’m honest, reaching the final with this squad itself feels like an achievement. We were heavily dependent on Gill, Sai and Buttler throughout the season, and that kind of top-heavy batting is always difficult to sustain in big games.

This loss hurts, but I hope it’s a wake-up call for the management. A strong middle order is a necessity. You can’t expect the top three to rescue the team every single match.

I feel especially bad for Gill. He took a pay cut to help retain experienced players and gave everything for this franchise. He deserved a more balanced squad around him.

Despite all the shortcomings, this team fought its way to the final. That’s something worth appreciating. Hopefully the management learns from this season, fixes the gaps, and comes back stronger after the mega auction.

Until then, thank you GT.

Anyone else notice the weird bias against GT?

Before the season started, almost no “experts” had GT in their top 4 except Pujara. Every year the entire conversation revolves around RCB, CSK and MI no matter how they perform.

But the bigger issue is commentary.

GT can be dominating a game and commentators still sound uninterested. The moment GT starts winning or the opposition starts fumbling, they suddenly switch topics to Kohli, Rohit, Dhoni or some other franchise storyline. It genuinely feels like GT succeeding kills the energy in the commentary box.

And when GT wins, the praise sounds so forced.

Shubman Gill’s captaincy this season has been calm, smart and tactically solid, but you barely hear anyone properly discussing or appreciating it. If this was a bigger “legacy” franchise, the media would be pushing captaincy masterclass edits every day.

People talk about fan bias all the time, but commentator and media bias is very real too. GT constantly feels treated like the “outsider” team even after being one of the most consistent franchises since debut.

Appreciation post for Washi Sundar

He’s been quiet good in last couple of matches. Hope he continues this momentum, we need this from middle order for playoffs.

After years of trying random products, i finally figured out what works for my skin. This is the only kit i reach for now.

For context, I am NC42 with warm undertones. I prefer brown and mauve makeup looks as pink looks so bad on me. If this helps anyone I’d be happy.
