Birth control

I’m getting my nexplanon rod out this month has anyone had an experience where this has helped (going off of it). I did some research and apparently high oestrogen levels can be one of the causes of vaginismus. Has anyone gotten their hormone levels checked and should I ask my doctor to check them.

Public or private

I’m in NSW Australia and I’m on the list for a public physio to get diagnosed and hopefully get further treatment. The wait time is unknown tho they said it could be months before I get an appointment. I have a long term partner and I hate using pads so I can’t have sex or use tampons and it’s so frustrating. I just don’t know if waiting that long is the best option. I’m thinking of going private but I’m a full time uni student and don’t qualify for study allowance or a health card (could be looked more into). How many times did people have to see the physio like is it a regular thing because I could afford like a one off $200 but I can’t do multiple.

Endo or vaginismus

I’m a 19 year old female and I’ve been with my partner for almost a year now and have never had pain during sex until about 2-3 months ago. I had a few UTI’s at the start of this year (I’ve struggled with many utis) and about March I started having extreme pain during penetration ( burning stinging pain) it feels like uti symptoms in my vagina. It’s also hot to touch after. It lingers after sex but I haven’t fully gone the whole way since it’s started hurting but I assume if I did it what hurt for a while after. I’ve had an exam with a speculum and it was uncomfortable and an internal ultrasound which was extremely painful.
At first I just passed it off as irritation but now I know it’s not that as I put a tampon in (not thinking) and was in severe pain couldn’t get off the toilet for an hour until I took it out.

I also have had the rod for 1.5 years and have had a few cysts. I’m getting my rod out because I have no use for it as I can’t have sex. I’m on the private list for a gyno (which is still 4 months away)and a pelvic floor physio (public so could be years). Just wondering if anyone’s had a similar experience. The doctors are leaning towards endo and exploratory surgery but that’s a bit scary!
I have always had normalish periods but since I’ve had the rod (1.5 years ago) my periods are every 2-3 months and can go anywhere from 7-25 days.
