Meduseld
At the top of the hill of Edoras, where the winds of the plains of Rohan carry the songs of the horse-lords, stands Meduseld, the legendary Golden Hall.
This model was designed to be transported and displayed at exhibitions. It is divided into several modules, making assembly, disassembly, and transportation easier. To ensure the strength and stability of the structure, the building is supported by an internal framework; for this reason, the interior has not been detailed.
For its design, I drew inspiration from the imagery seen in the films of Peter Jackson, as well as from the remarkable work of Adam J. Middleton, whose interpretation of Meduseld served as a reference for several architectural choices.
More than a simple reproduction, this project is above all a tribute to the imagination of J. R. R. Tolkien and to Peter Jackson’s cinematic vision. Through this build, I wanted to celebrate one of the most iconic landmarks of Rohan.
