Concept & Inspiration:
I wanted to capture a spooky Halloween atmosphere: a lonely skeleton wandering through a dark graveyard holding a glowing lantern, surrounded by the shadows of bare trees, crosses, and bats.

How It Was Created:
This entire scene was shot using shadow projections, with just some minor post-processing to tweak contrast and moody tones.
* Lighting: A single small light source placed behind the setup to project the silhouettes onto the background.
* Setup: A mix of custom paper cutouts and physical LEGO elements used together to build the tree, cross, bat, and grave silhouettes, with the skeleton minifigure in the foreground holding a lantern.
* Gear: Handheld smartphone shot.

These images are a bit of a comparison/experiment. The first image was taken with my cell phone using the macro setting. The second image was taken with my Canon 70D using a macro filter. Settings = 25, F4, ISO 100. This is a re-shoot of an idea I had a few years ago. In the latest version, I built a small "hallway" of Demeter Station and used a laptop screen with a space image as the backdrop. I listed the build below using a cell phone flashlight and a small LED panel to light the scene from above. I wanted to give the "infected" spacemen a dramatic or stark lighting effect. The image taken with the cell phone provides a clear depiction of the scene, but the image taken with the Canon, in my opinion, really captures the lighting effect.

Created for the "Adventure" photo challenge! I wanted to capture the ultimate classic jungle adventure trope: an intrepid explorer carefully balancing on a fragile rope bridge, unaware of the massive crocodile shadow lurking below with its jaws wide open.
