Can a Fetch become something else?

Fetches are made with a tiny piece of soul and sometimes some blood- is this soul fragment large enough for the fetch to glimpse the watchtower, or to have it shattered in the Divergence? Are these few flecks of blood enough for the Blood’s embrace to take, or for ghoulhood to take root? The fetch’s true physical form is a mass of inanimate matter in a human shape- can the Principle take notice of it and turn the fetch into something alchemical? The fetch thinks- Can it then be driven to lunar madness and, perhaps, wolf-hood, or become host to a primal terror still dripping with the amniotic fluid of the Mother? The fetch can die- can some enterprising ghost bring it back?

Is a fetch stuck as it is, or can it change into something else?

What if the Silver Ladder, while chasing the ability to reach the realms supernal, accidentally turned its membership into another splat?

The silver ladder is possibly the least likely major faction in the setting to cooperate outside their splat, so they’ve been chosen for maximum irony. Lets assume the splat they become is one of the following: demon, promethean, beast, or deviant

How would the chronicles setting react to OWOD end times scenarios?

This isn’t a fated end like it was for the old world of darkness, so survival is a possibility. How does it go down?

So why is Unholy banned in PFS, anyway?

Was reading the necromancer release on AoN, and was surprised to see that the unholy sanctification on necromancer was banned solely for being unholy, despite having a harmless anathema. I don’t really get it- why cut off so many PC options that aren’t disruptive to play?

So how do other splats end up in werewolf packs to begin with?

It’s known that werewolf packs occasionally contain members from other splats- how these relationships work can vary by a lot, pack by pack, etc etc. but how do the werewolves generally… meet, people from other walks of life?

Could you make a setting where *both* OWOD and Chronicles stuff is going on? With two types of some splats?

For example, take vampires. Cainites are a relatively common bloodline of non-kindred vampire, who know a sort of “lossy” version of the embrace that makes them weaker with every new generation of vampire. Would that work? Could you do the same thing for the rest of the splats that overlap?

Metaplot changes got you down? Missing your favorite skills? Wishing the GM got to be more involved in playing the game? Why not check out VtR?

Protean is here to stay! Have as many bloodlines as you want! Wish amalgam disciplines were done better? Have devotions! We’ve got lots of lore but it won’t decanonize your chronicle!

What makes wizard stand out?

Having played the game for a while at this point, with a fair few types of casters… what’s wizard’s identity beyond being a 4 spell slots per level caster? Cleric gets its free heals or harms, Druid gets pretty gameplay defining stuff from its order, and so on. What’s the draw of wizard in the same way?

How do certain ancestries wear armor?

With the new necromancer stuff, I've been making a theoretical most durable character... and ive ended up with a dijiang wearing heavy armor. How in the world do things like dijiang, automatons and dragonets wear armor?

Can a you play a morally good druid?

Abadar’s edicts state that one must “bring civilization to the frontiers”. As agents of nature, druids are opposed to this. Is there any way to get holy sanctification on a Druid to prevent the forces of Abadar from hunting my PC? Will summoning a tree temporarily with Timber make me an enemy of Abadar? I’m a little worried, as the followers of Abadar are everywhere, or at least everywhere there’s a bank.

(In all earnestness, I think people are a little too worried about necromancers and morality, and wanted to draw a parallel with another class!)

What splat’s society would you most want to be immersed in?

Let’s assume, rather than only you, most of the people you interact with regularly on a day to day basis are also members of your splat. Coworkers, romantic partners, roommates, etc. what splat would you most want to be a part of in this scenario?

Edit: folks, this is for chronicles, not OWOD.

Is there any way to make wasp animal instinct good?

I’ve tried a few means of theory-ing it out to be good, but the lack of agile is making it very difficult. It’s on theme for a character I’m brainstorming up…

How do each of the splats do small town horror? Who does it the best, and the worst?

One thing I really like about chronicles is that the splats work in a variety of settings- vampires aren’t locked to cities, werewolves aren’t locked to rural areas, etc. They’re not even locked to setting genre, with things like space opera and cyberpunk vampires being officially supported. On that note…. Which of the splats do small town horror? I know it doesn’t really work for some- Promethean’s can’t really get to know the territory before they have to move on, but it works for a lot!

What does the familiar get out of the relationship?

Is it just the prevention of essence bleed? That seems like a pretty poor payoff for being bound to a Mage, especially since the familiar can’t really grow beyond baseline (being capped at rank 2)

Which Arcanum have you found to have the biggest disparity between theory and gameplay?

Its space, for me. I took it thinking it would be useful for getting around and maybe casting some things remotely, and instead its been the easiest way to shore up basically all of the cabal's missing arcana, and a good first resort when encountering something new and unknown.

Do you need to hit 5 in an arcanum to reach archmastery?

First edition made the imperial practices seem like extensions of the arcana, just from levels 6 to 10 instead of 1 to 5. However, that’s pretty dubiously canon in 2e, especially since some of those imperial practices can now be accomplished with normal awakened magic (such as making deviants or prometheans without the practice of entities, or even just granting imbuements with life and prime). 2e states that they’ve achieved knowledge of practices beyond making and unmaking, but the how of it is shrouded in mystery. If one discovered or invented a means of attaining archmastery without yet being a master, could they skip right to it?

Kissing in the Dark: Love in the Chronicles of Darkness

Obviously, vampire deals a lot in romance- you’re a corpse with a throbbing heart, a demigod of sex and violence, an addiction mortals just can’t shake. But what about the other splats? How have you ran trysts between changelings, prometheans discovering how to handle a crush, doomed yuri between a beast and the hero fated to slay her? What kind of themes have you explored through love? Or, if you haven’t run or been in a game with romantic content, how do you imagine a given splat navigates romantic relations?
