Years ago, Crow and I would have dates exactly like this at a specific bench in a park I used to visit everyday. It was our little spot.

This commission was given to me as a surprise (meaning someone else commissioned an artist and then gave it to me). When I saw it, I couldn't help but cry the happiest tears ever from pure joy because WHAT ARE THE CHANCES THAT A COMM I HAD NO PART IN MAKING WOULD END UP BEING ALMOST AN EXACT REPLICA OF A DATE CROW AND I HAVE BEEN ON BEFORE WITH SCENERY THAT LOOKS ALMOST EXACTLY LIKE THE PARK WE USED TO HAVE THOSE DATES AT? Additionally, the person who comm'd this for me told me that the pose, scenery, details, etc was all chosen entirely by the artist. Of all the things the artist could've chosen to have us doing, they chose this. It makes me believe that me and Crow's love has been noticed by the universe~ hehehe. Ahhh it fills me with love to my core. I'll never not love this man.

Sorry if I talk a lot! I've just always wanted to be super open and out there about our love for each other, and now that I finally can I'm just a blabber mouth hahaha

It's August 16th, which is Aki's birthday! She's one of my most favorite characters from 5ds! Technically, her birthday was yesterday overseas, but it's also now today for me. Double celebration! Yippee!

She's such a beautifully written character, and she deserves so much love (more than she already gets lol)!

Ok so I usually don't post my comissioned art of Crow and I to this subreddit because as much as I love it, I never know if it's "appropriate" for me to lol. THIS TIME AROUND THOUGH I commissioned an artist I'm super friendly with and I think the at is just too cute to not share! The artist (@picnicspicnics on Tiktok) is genuinely such a sweet soul and I love how she drew us so much! I can't draw to save my life, but comissioning artists and doing other forms of art are my most favorite ways of showing love for Crow! (To be completely honest, I'm actually really shy when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I've loved him for almost 10 years now, so maybe it's about time I change that? Scary!) I asked this about the dragons, but now I really wanna know peoples favorite characters from the anime! (and if you haven't watched 5ds, then still feel free to tell me about favorite characters from the other YGO gens!) I really love hearing people's favorites and perspectives!

For me personally (despite being completely in love with my darling Crow), the title of who's my favorite character is a total tie between Crow and Carly! I know it's kind of ironic, especially considering the fact that the two aren't entirely fond of each other (at least, they're presented to have a tension of annoyance between them in the dub), but as characters they're both just so great! I love how comedic they both can be and I loved their roles in the dark signer arc. (Also my heart goes out to Carly post-dark signer arc. No girl (or person for that matter) in love, especially one as sweet as Carly, deserves to be treat that way! so sad ☹️) They're both just my absolute favs!

Going based off of design/visuals alone!

For me personally, my favorite is Blackrose Dragon! The way it looks both like a rose and a dragon at the same time always captivates me! Plus, in my opinion, it love how it looks so incredibly powerful (AURAAAA) while also looking so elegant! Overall just such an incredible design! My favorite WOULD'VE been Ancient Fairy Dragon if it wasn't for the hands. There's just something so off putting about them to me lol.

I managed to get my hands on more jewels and ribbon, so of course I had to get to crafting IMMEDIATELY hahaha.

I'm still a beginner at this, but it's so fun to do! (Plus, after a long day of class, coming home and working on a craft of my beloved is the most perfect way to wind down lol.)

I saw like 3-4 people say that my decorating on the Black Winged Dragon card made it look like it was having a funeral (😭😭😭), so I stood away from black as much as I could this time! Hopefully it doesn't still look like that lol.

Those tiny rhinestones were the ultimate test of patience! Having to place them down one by one was brutal - so time consuming lol. Also, it's the first time I've ever made that style of bow! It was really hard at first, but after messing with it for a while I got it to a point of satisfaction! I think it's super cute - I love bows!

I love how it came out and I put my whole heart into it, so I'm happy! Love you all! 🩷🧡🩷🧡

I love these figures SO MUCH (especially Aki's!), but it also saddens me that there isn't one of Crow (or Luna, Leo, and Bruno). I hope SO BAD that one of Crow is made eventually, but I'm no sure if that's me just wishfully thinking? I'm crossing my fingers so hard, but realistically what are the chances of that happening???

The same thing also goes for their dragons! I know there's one of Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon, but the chances of Black Winged Dragon being made too, alongside the others?

It's Sunday, and I decided that instead of wallowing in dread about the upcoming horrors of the week - I'd make silly pins of my beloved.

(Context for "horrors of the week": I'm terrified of needles, but despite this I'm taking a phlebotomy course. This means that every day I'm in school, I'm either sticking my classmates or getting stuck numerous times. Dreadful! But I know I can do it teehee)

I have a badge/pin maker, so I printed out 2 pictures of Crow and used those to make these! I also found some cute plastic bubble stickers I bought some time back and used those to decorate! (Alongside the last of my jewels and some silly cat stickers I had. I love that cat lol) I love how silly he looks in the orange one. I kept messing up the little decor because my giggles kept moving my hand placement. One of the orange pearls fell off from the bottom of the orange one and I couldn't find it. :( went to the backrooms ig

I did just make these as I went and didn't plan them out first (crafting to distract myself lol), so they really don't follow any themes tied to him apart from one of them being orange. Regardless, they're unserious and silly and I like them. Adding them to the mini shrine :P

Another beautiful day for a craft! Decided to work outside so I could soak up the sun!

This time I decorated the card holder I use to display B.W.D in! The holder itself and the jewels used to decorate it are from DAISO! (is it starting to become obvious where my favorite place to shop is? Lol)

I do admit that it is rather simple, but this is my first time ever decorating a card holder. When doing a craft for the first time, I always like to go down the "safe and simple" route so that I don't waste any supplies. The pearls took forever though! At one point I thought I was going to run out, but luckily I had just enough. Then of course, the bow at the top was made by me! I might just start adding bows to every craft I make - I just love them so much! I'm just so sad that I didn't have red jewels or any way to incorporate red because of how limited my supplies are. Regardless though, I'm so happy with how this came out!!!!

As much as I love Crow and his love for his deck, I'm a Melodious girl through and through! However, I absolutely love this specific card for B.W.D!

I can't wait to get better at crafting! There's so many more crafts I want to make! Love you all! 🩷🧡🩷🧡

Today I made my first ever rosette for Crow!!!

For the picture, I just put a tiny picture of Crow I had and then decorated the badge with little decorations! Both the plastic badge holder and the tiny decorative jewels I bought from DAISO! (Except for the tiny bow at the bottom - I made that myself with leftover thin ribbon! I just think it's so cute!)

The ribbons and such themselves took so long, and I had to restart so many times (even while using a plastic rosette maker!). I'm so glad I decided to keep pushing to get it right and get it done lol! I can't wait to get better at these kinds of crafts, but for now I'm so so SO HAPPY with how it came out and I can't wait to put it on the little shrine I have for him! I absolutely love him with my whole heart!

I'm so shy about showing stuff like this, but maybe the best way to get over that is by facing it head on and showing it anyways? Lol

When I talk, just know that I'm speaking specifically about the DUB ANIME - not the manga or anything else.

I'm in such a grey area with this man. First, I saw him as an irritating, but silly character. Then I saw him as a character that I just despise/that makes my blood boil. Now, I'm back to a 50/50 of like and dislike.

Imo he's essential to the plot as Yusei's rival at the beginning and his personality fits that role perfectly for that - my issue starts when his role in the show switches from being just an antagonist to being an antagonist that's also a protagonist and is in "good standings" with the main protagonist and therefor is also good (?).

Imo by the time the end of the show he hasn't changed all that much from how he was at the beginning of the show. He's still overly prideful, self-centered, and overall just overbearing. Him betraying his friends, then apologizing but only after he lost to Yusei (which makes his apology feel somewhat ingenuine. Would he just continue living the way he was if he had won?). He comes through for Carly during the Dark Signer arc, but then damn near disposes of her entirely after that (HOW DO YOU GO FROM "I'd rather die with you than be the one to kill you." TO TREATING HER LIKE SHE DOESN'T EXIST????). Then ofc he dumps his dead weight of UNEMPLOYMENT onto Yusei and Crow (lol unemployment arc is frustratingly silly to me). Then ofc other things but I think my point is clear.

In fact, as I'm writing this I'm starting to wonder what the point of turning him into a "protagonist" even was? I feel like he could've easily been written to remain a main antagonist and his role could've easily been handed/filled by Akiza - someone who does change for the better and shows that.

Ahhhh I'm just so torn because he seems to be such a favorited character in the fandom. If I'm mischaracterizing him at all, please let me know! I wanna hear all sorts of perspectives and opinions! (Please just be respectful ♡)
