Hello all,
Apologies if this isnt the right place to ask, but i’m not sure where else would be best. I am a hobbyist map maker and i have recently taken an interest in creating a map of the historical Haudenosaunee lands/ six nations. I think its intersting and would make an ascetically pleasing map. However i also recognise that this isnt my cultural heritage and i want whatever work i may or may not end up creating to be both accurate and culturally respectful (as an example of what i mean you can see in my previous post i have posted a historical map labelled the “British and Irish isles” not just “ the British isles”

With that in mind is there anything is hould be aware of regarding ;
Traditional boundaries/ territories
Names of places/ geographic features
Symbols or imagery i may use as decorative elements
Anything else i should be aware of?

If there is a better source for some of this information someone could point me to id also appreciate it.

Id also appreciate if anyone could point me towards any relevant quotes/poetry or other relevant writing from the times. Its something i like to include as part of the border decorations of my maps

Hello all. Sorry if i am not asking this in the right place. I am looking for examples of translated/ transliterated hieroglyphics onljne for a personal project. I’ve found a few short sentences out of text books but what im really looking for is something like a string of poetry/ spells/ something more significant and meaningful to ancient egypt. My intent is to reproduce the hieroglyphs for said project, and id like to know what they actually mean/ translate as.
