I’ve been reading Dc Finest Wrath of Spectre and it kind of drops you right into the middle of the story. Spectre has been trapped in Jim Corrigan’s body for the last 20 years. It doesn’t show the origin story of Spectre and Jim Corrigan, i.e how Spectre gained these astral powers (or at least I haven’t got to it yet and I’m about 100 pages in).

I was just wondering what could be in the next Spectre volume, and if they’ll go back and show the origin story

And how do they decide what goes in it instead of going into the Batman line? Virtually all Joker stories invariably feature Batman at some point. I thought The Killing Joke would have been good for The Joker line

I’ve played her a lot of ways, like with balancers for skill attacks, and with her successive attack relics, but I’ve recently been trying her with great shield like Guardian and its very strong

She doesn’t have steelguard like Guardian, but her ability to instantly refill her entire stamina bar works great for blocking with shields.

Grab weapon passives for improved guarding ability and upgrade your shield to purple with a mine trip (or yellow in the crater) to improve your guard boost. You can two hand the shield in certain moments to significantly raise it. And if your shield is visage or has shield crash just two hand it the whole time for the guard boost and use the skill as a weapon.

Grab successful guarding ups dmg negation and taking damage boosts damage negation to reduce incoming damage from affinity attacks and give you even greater survivability. The damage negation talismans are nice as well.

ED Caligo relic gives you extra damage negation and frostbite for the early game. I use other relics for poise and damage negation when knocked back, and healing on post damage attacks to heal affinity chip damage as I guard and poke.

Block a flurry of attacks, poke with halberd/spear/thrusting sword while blocking, and then instantly replenish your stamina bar with Undertaker’s skill to do it again

The block and poke activates her successive attack relics and any successive attack damage negation passives

Stick skeletons and holy explosion on your guard counters if you can find them

I seem to find more shields in the center castle

Just some cringe moments I’ve had with teammates the last few days-

1. Undertaker grabs rivers of blood on a team with 2 Executors, keeps it and never uses it once, despite both of us only having starting katana. The passive was improved roll attack or some shit so you can’t even justify that either

2. Downed 3 bar Wylder crawls away from downed 3 bar Revenant just as I fill my Guardian’s ult gauge so I can’t bring him back. This happened very late against ED Libra with 95% of his HP gone, and it ended up costing the run.

3. Ironeye keeps halo scythe on his back and uses an un-upgraded blue tier bow against ED Gladius. Never used halo, never dropped it for a teammate

4. I dropped halo for Undertaker and Wylder, but neither would pick it up. I already had mine as Duchess. Beat ED Gladius but had to hard carry with them 3 barred and me doing 98% of total damage

5. Raider and Executor spam pinging BBK at level 5, getting downed fast, and rage quitting when I wasn’t there to revive

And I mean something that takes big chunks like giants flame take thee or cranial vessel candle.

2 games today randoms insist on fighting it early in day 2. We all have holy weapons for ED Libra. We lose half the day, miss most of the rotting woods shifting earth, and face Libra at level 12 and 11 in the second game (Revenent level 10 after losing runes in the rain).

Tree spirit is a tanky run killer, like magma wyrm. Please avoid it unless you have strong fire weapons

I’m really looking forward to the upcoming Man of Steel release in November, but it only covers the first parts of the Byrne run. It’ll take a few more to cover all of that. Then you get to Exile, Death and Return, Triangle Era, For All Seasons, Emperor Joker, Brainiac, etc. Also origin stories like Birthright and Secret Origin. There’s a lot to collect, and it’s been slow going so far with upcoming Man of Steel being just the second Post-Crisis Superman release after Time and Time Again.

Seems like we’ll be waiting a while, so would omnis/compendiums be the better road to buy this era of Superman?
