Developers…

How? I’m finally playing the game all the way through. Got it quite a few years ago. Maybe as part of the PS+ subscription. I promptly paid for every DLC afterwards. We all know it can freeze and crash on loading (PS5). You just have to sit and wait. Fine… but today when trying to save, it froze. Completely froze. Had to restart the system. Of course, it loaded with the previous save, undoing all the shit I had done.

I LOVE the concept of just walking away from a glitch fest and creating a whole new game! Really makes me want to run out and NOT SPEND A DIME. Just saying.

Under sink filtration system question

I live in Brunswick County, NC. We supposedly have some of the worst water in the nation. PFAS and GenX just to name a couple. We moved here from Michigan, where we had a well, so I immediately noticed how horrible the water smelled/tasted, and bought a bottom load water dispenser. I’ve been getting my own 5 gallon jugs for the past almost four years. I’m fine with that. The issue is that these water dispensers need to be cleaned internally, and it is a pain. I honestly didn’t read the directions when I bought my dispenser, so I wasn’t aware of the cleaning suggestions for quite awhile. They put a really tiny sticker, with really fine print, inside the door, where it is barely visible. You are supposed to clean these units every 3-6 months. The ONLY reason I even discovered this, is that I noticed the water was starting to smell musty. I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from, so I kept sanitizing my steel water bottles. The smell would still be there.

I am considering an under sink system, with a separate faucet. I have an outlet under the sink, but would need to have an electrician friend rewire it as it is controlled by a light switch for the garbage disposal. That part is easy enough. I’m just wondering if anyone has suggestions regarding this type of system. Tankless is fine so that I can save space. I have seen faucets like this in other people’s houses. I just don’t know how good they are. I’m mostly concerned about taste at this point. The crap water is pumped into the townhome, and we use it for bathing and some cooking, so I’m sure we already have the PFAS and GenX flowing through our bodies. I just can’t stand the smell and taste of what comes out of the taps.

For what it’s worth, the cleaning process for these water dispensers is to remove the bottle from below. Then you drain it completely, which involves removing a screw on the back to get to a drain. Then you use 2 gallons of water in an empty jug, and you add 2 cups of distilled vinegar or 2 tablespoons of bleach. Turn it back on and let it suck the sauce back into the system. Then disconnect power and let it set. The issue is that the vinegar just doesn’t clean as well as bleach, however, the bleach requires a more intense flushing after you are done. It is an absolute pain and I am about to go do it right now. Again. Because the previous cleaning cycle I did clearly didn’t clean it well enough.

Thanks!!!
