for those questioning why fundrise is building innovation fund 2, my q2 '26 return is a clue. it's $10k (pic 2), the 1st without innovation fund since NYSE listing, & the lowest qtrly return since q4 '23, $6.7k (pic 3)

i love being right. i'm wrong a lot - just ask my girlfriend. but being correct about big things that make me & my friends, family, & strangers a lot of money is so satisfying. tbh, the whole thing is an emotional mix of good & bad, but the strongest feeling is a combo of joy & relief

if you're in my dm's (X dm's attached), then you know fundrise innovation fund 2 is coming (lfg, ben!)

if you knew me for the past 3+yrs, then you knew that i would happily pay your initial min fundrise innovation fund investment. some of you accepted $1k+ of innovation fund reimbursements from me. some of you rejected that much from me (e.g. my doctors & michelle). the ~$6k of innovation fund reimbursements i gave away to show how much i believe in fundrise was worth over $300k at high water mark

welp, here we go again. this time i don't have any equity to arbitrage so i'll have to employ some lessons learned from the r/FundriseInvestors community i built & what i learn from investing gurus like u/josephcarlsonyoutube & @fundstrat

tom leETH, i'm down big on your @BitMNR ($BMNR). thanks to u/fundrise_investing ceo & VCX architect u/benmillerise, i've lost no sleep

in fact, the only reason why i get to enjoy being right is because i've been correct about ben's character & competence

fundrise board of directors, i'm begging you. get ben a fly private service (@NetJets), free up his calendar, hire him a couple nannies, get this man 8hrs of deep sleep EVERY night!

Seems like the growth story here is probably over… VCX II

With the filing for VCX II, it seems like the NAV/Secondary is unlikely.

Fundrise is probably pissed they didn’t get their management fee increase, and VCX has served its primary purpose (bailing out the flagship fund, and an attempted bail out of the REIT funds).

This time, they can initiate the fund with the fee structure they want AND still get to use their listing like a credit card all over again.

Something tells me that shareholders won’t sign up to get taken for a ride a second time.

For anyone thinking, “Yeah, but you can still actively manage two funds”:

If you had limited placement opportunities, which fund would you choose to use to deploy capital/invest in higher quality assets - a fund that pays you lower fees, or higher fees?

Over it. Barring some wild surprise, I’m out come September.
