Is Grimmjow a redditor?
I expect Nnoitra to be one, but now I saw this hidden foreshadowing pointing that Grimmjow might be a redditor as well. Maybe reddit is just that popular in hueco mundo

I don't know how to write this without sounding like a petty complain, and maybe it is just a petty complain since I'm disagreeing with the whole structure presented.
Trying to not extend this, I don't understand why the big reveal of the chapter had to be "something unknow happened" and I genuinely believe that this reveal could've been moved to the beginning of the chapter.
No, I'm not asking for the exact same scene to play out as soon as you start the chapter with Asgore ambushing Kris into a flashback scene, I just know that the information of a tragic incident that impacted the ex police chef of hometown could be provided pretty soon in the chapter. The easiest way to do it is by making Asgore's interaction mandatory even if you still can pick choices to end his dialogue faster and then also make the bunnies talking about him mandatory with more phrases suggesting that "he was never the same ever since...", it's enough to make someone with a functional brain to understand the situation, but if the game still wanted to reinforce the fact that something happened we could get the classic Susie dialogue afterward, like "Hey Kris, I heard your dad used to on police..."
With this, all the information the game passes with that climax Asgore scene is already provided to each one playing the chapter, leaving the entirety of flower king dark world to further develop over this and bringing the possibility of the big reveal being something that both casuals and hardcore fans would be interested in knowing about, after all the beginning of chapter 5 would already put everyone on the same level. Either choosing to focus more on Asgore's character or the mysterious past event, the game would be able to be just a little more specific once it knew that everyone was getting what was currently going on and give something to make like me more invested on the plot
I'm pretty much just modifying the chapter and wanting things to play out in my way, but I genuinely believe this change would make it more enjoyable to everyone. If anyone can explain me why this wouldn't work or why the game needed to drag things to make the big reveal being only that something happened, please do
I know, this is a sub more focused in negative or controversial opinions, but there was these rare moments that even we complaining have to acknowledge as positive. And personally, I want to know specifically you guys's opinion over this since your metric are more strict.
Trying not to mention the easy stuff such as music or else, I believe both Undertale and Deltarune are really good when its come to character introduction. Most of the time we already know what is the deal with a character from this first scene we see them, the designs and good soundtrack certainly helps a lot to pass the idea, but obviously none of this would matter without the text.
For example, Papyrus's introduction where he makes a small exposition to say who he is show some great confidence to us in comparison to Sans, actually the contrast between the brothers highlights even further each one's traits in our minds, it's interesting to notice that unlike his little brother, Sans is introduced with a more sinister tone that is quickly dismissed as a joke, a hint about the character being more that you expect.
I also really like Susie's introduction. She's presented as a bully who most fear, with lazy appearance and troublesome personality the red flags are everywhere! The fact that she's a bully remains true until the last second, but it's interesting to notice how Kris is spared, what saves them isn't a external force that forces that mean girl to not hurt our main character, she simply rationalizes that she shouldn't really do it because someone else she considers good would be sad. While this doesn't remove the crazy slam against the wall that certainly will come back against Kris when they're reach theirs mid twenty's, this show us that there's still something good inside Susie even if we don't consciously notice that.
This is something good because the games don't waste any time to build those characters in our heads, rarely you don't know if you will like or hate a character, but either way you're already invested on seeing these characters succeed or fail hard. For a game quick like Undertale, this good point of having a strong character introduction certainly played a big role on its success as a game, since you don't have to wait for pay offs or character arcs to say "this guy is awesome"
I hope any of this made sense for you as much as it makes for me. Again, I'm interested in knowing what you guys think its great when it comes to these games.
Thanks to our weird nature in the game who ties us to Kris, it's inevitable that sometimes we'll end up not seeing some stuff for the simple reason of Kris not being there. Other games who don't make this a relevant point can simply shift perspective to other characters to show any scene that the story needs at the moment, either being a tease for something in the future, a flashback moment or just focus on what other characters are doing at the time.
Deltarune offers the long-distance-soul-spying ability to each time a chapter see what other party member is going through when the team split, but these a dependent of Kris's mood and only covers partially these skipped moments from what I can see.
Trying to list some of these moments, we can start it back to chapter 2 when Susie and Ralsei have their bond moment off screen. We only see a pretty small bit of it when Noelle is with us but I believe it could've been expanded more to show us for the first time the "talktive Ralsei" Susie talks about in chapter 5 and personally I think I would be able to understand more the goat and how exactly Susie influenced changed him
Then we have the end of chapter 3 where it seems that a lot happened between 3 and 4. I'm not asking for seeing what was inside the shelter (even though I want), but I believe there was some true gold that was locked behind this cliffhanger, such as a bit more of the characters reactions to their first defeat and Susie desperately trying to get people to save Tenna, it's something that I could see the game shift to when Kris enters the shelter because obviously we're not allowed there yet.
This one I'm not sure exactly, but I think it would be great if we saw just a bit of Carol and Noelle's interaction when the gang has to leave the Holiday's mansion, either being done to increase or decrease our negative first impression over the crazy mother and how much Noelle is affected by it and how much this is somewhat common occurence between them, see?
The next happened in the last chapter aired, Susie spends a night in castle town and most likely the main characters bond more and learn the new spells that you might not remember by this point. What I wanted to see there was Ralsei and Susie's interaction when she got there in castle town, she was in a pretty low point by the end of chapter 4 and I can only assume that Ralsei cheers her up somehow since we got a more positive Susie through this chapter
The last is what the hell happened between Flowery and Ralsei during their first interaction, I really just want to know how much justified was Ralsei to act the way they did with him during the flower king dark world. I know the reasons why Ralsei was acting this way, but I still think this was a pretty big jump from what was my view of the goat and the way he acts, most likely he already had some notion of how much he could dislike Flowery thanks to the prophecy knowledge but no amount of preparation made Ralsei ready for this meeting.
These are the moments I can remember now... Or the moments I can't remember because I never saw them!
Am I just missing another scene that could happen on screen or am I missing some secret interaction that dismisses every single scene I brought? Please, help me with your views over this. I can assure you that no opinion can be worse than mine
Back in the time, the overall idea over Kris not playing the piano was that the soul was holding Kris back and there were some missing keys on this piano so they couldn't go all out there.
This stay true until the first half of chapter 4, we even get a moment where Kris finally plays a piano greatly when the soul is out of their body which could reinforce this old view if it wasn't for the dark world piano scene where Kris plays with the soul in their body, showing that this wasn't really the reason why they didn't play.
Personally, I think that playing the piano is associated with bad memories or guilty for Kris, like remembering of Dess when the topic is music and trying to avoid It or refusing to play without her or something, making only an exception for Susie cuz of course they would for her...
Yeah, that is all the post
