What do British people call the living room?
The room with a sofa where you sit and watch tv and chat with people. What do you call it? And does it vary by region of the UK? I’ve seen lounge and reception room. Which is it?
Also, do you say couch? Or sofa? Or something else?
I need this info for fanfic writing purposes of UK tv show.

ETA okay now I feel dumb. Apparently most British people just say living room like Americans, and couch isn’t unheard of. Thanks all
