Advice on moving daturas plants from soil to jars.

There are some daturas in a friend's yard. He's going to move soon and I need advice on how to get the plants out of the soil and plant them into jars.

Tracing the hanta source. Some questions for healthcare professionals and scientists.

I'm not a medical professional, I'm a GMP cosmetics laboratory owner. So I, up to some degree, understand the logic and procedures of tracing contamination sources. And it makes me have a hard time understanding all the developments because there are some inconsistencies. Especially linking all cases to the first victim and their birdwatching trip. Yes, Andes hanta strains possibly transmitted human-to-human, still doesn't mean all the cases in one location are from the patient 0.

  1. Don't they have SOPs to trace the source? I mean if you know that X is most probably derived from Y you should follow your SOPs that should explicitly start from investigating Y as the most probable source. The main way hanta spreads to humans is via rodent-derived biological matter.

  2. Don't you think they should have sampled HVAC, food storage, kitchen, hygiene products and etc for rodent feces/urine?

  3. Don't you think they should have placed rodent traps all around the ship to verify if there is any living rodent around?

  4. Don't you think they should have audited ship's suppliers facilities? Especially onboard food suppliers. No need to get that far looking for hantavirus source at birdwatching site if you have a piece of rat shit in your flour sack.

  5. Is there any correlation between initial viral load vs exposure vs time for symptoms onset? I could only speculate that possibly, correct me please if I'm wrong, all the cases could originate onboard from one non-human source and time to onset of symptoms is different because of initially received load and not from infection transmission chain from patient 0.

Appreciate any input.
