When your mystery VIP bundle contains the game that is currently free on steam...

Plus the DLC that you just bought on Fanatical...

...and the third game is also already in your synced steam library

*le sigh*

Edit: It says on the bundle that syncing the steam library would avoid games you already own but I received two, including one that's currently free to own on steam, which seems particularly punk.

RAM died, so sad

Two of my RAM sticks died on me, bought the gaming PC second hand and it's not bad, it's maybe four or five years old but it's what I could afford and it plays things well enough...at least it did.

Can I ask the hive mind what's likely the best option to pair with my R7 5800 and Radeon RX 6800 if I can find the money to buy RAM in the current AI shitstorm of RAM availability.

All advice is much appreciated but I won't be able to buy anything from the US as I live in Malta, in the EU.

Though, I guess if it's not available outside of the US it's still worth mentioning for other people who may be looking for the same info.

Adaptation of insects to life in Malta

So apparently water boatmen have adapted to the chlorine in swimming pools because this isn't the first time I've found one swimming around in my pool without a care in the world.

Has anyone else seen them?

Edit: any other things you can think that have clearly adapted to live here, I know there are invasive species but mostly they seem to come from similar climates whilst these guys probably found they had more access to water via swimming pools...

Heart Attacks in Gozo

My dad is having his third heart attack, I called an ambulance - he wanted to drive himself in - and everyone at Gozo was very nice but they couldn't get through to the person who needed to do the ECG which delayed treatment a bit.

He's been flown to MDH by air ambulance.

I was told to walk to the bus station to get home by bus by the staff at GGH, which I did...I was barefoot and wearing a long t-shirt dress nightie so that was interesting.

I'm really glad the people in the hospital were able to keep him stable for transport and now I wait to hear what's happened in Malta.

I really wish they could deal with heart attacks in Gozo, it would be faster and I don't drive so getting the MDH if I need is going to be frustrating.
