I just won the best Alssahir guess game ever!

It was a solo Lleech demon script with Vizier in play. 15 players game. ST runs the Alejo snake charmer custom rules (SC wakes up before demon on N1). Original demon was swapped by snake charmer on N1. The original demon (now as swapped snake charmer) started their day 1 demon hunting by looking for cues in social read. She identified a possible player as demon due to how another player casually go to him (across the town square) for discussion. Of course everyone is having private chat and not paying any attention.

I was just casually doing my 3 for 3 with everyone. Then we came to the end of day 1 private chat just before public nomination, where ST opens up the for Alssahir guessing. I guessed Vizier, the players suspected by the swapped snake charmer, and a random player as the Demon and Minions accordingly.

The ST takes a look at the grim goes like

"Everyone, the game has ended, good team has won!"

I immediately went, wth!!!. Because I wasn't even the Alssahir. Turns out ST took a glance at the Alssahir token position and mistaken me as the player next to me, who is the actual Alssahir, as me and announced my guess is correct and accidentally gave away the evil team. I'm just the king. We end up re-racking. It was epic and funny moment to win as Alssahir even though I was not even one.

Tldr: Won the game through Alssahir guessing even though I am not the Alssahir because the ST confused me with the player next to me as the Alssahir.

AITA of having problems on Immersion-Breaking Experience with Psychopath

I love BOTC. It was probably the only the social deduction game I felt in love with and played the most.

However, the other day, I played the role "Psychopath" and realize the role itself breaks multiple immersion aspect of the game. I cannot feel that I am a Psychopath based on how it is run.

To start with, the Psychopath ability reads.

"Each day, before nominations, you may publicly choose a player: they die. If executed, you only die if you lose roshambo."

This is completely wrong, psychopath does not kill in the day, they are lurk in shadows and act in a way no one can discover them. They kill in the night, they pick up girls during the day, usually by a car ride, back to their home, then proceeds to drug them and killing them at night. As such, I will think that it's only fair for the Psychopath role to kill at night and do the same.

Therefore, I acted in anyway an actual psychopath would, I personally only approach female players for private chats. Then after the private chat, I signal to the ST that I want to use the Psychopath ability to kill them at night. The ST decided not to allowed it, therefore I didn't get to use my ability.

Because the ST does not allow me to use my ability at night, I decided not to use my ability to kill during the day at all. True to being a psychopath, I want to be a killer not to be found by anyone.

After the game, my evil team loses and they blame me for not using my ability to help the team. I argue with them that I did, it's the ST does not want to honour my suggestion on how the Psychopath ability should be run.

We end up having to agree to disagree. But I felt I am not in the wrong here. AITA of playing the Psychopath in a specific manner that would break my immersion based on my experience?

Idea for a fast game Demon but not as fast as Riot (Fixed)

# How to run?

During the first nomination, nominations are run normally and players are required to vote for execution.

For subsequent nominations after the first sucessful execution, the last executee can and must nominate another living player, player nominated by the last executee are executed immediately.

The idea behind this demon is similar to Riot, except it plays across multiple nights.

While not necessary, the Storyteller may choose to kill the evil players at night, similar to Legion and Lil Monsta games.

If the town can nominate again due to another character ability, such as Butcher, the nominations will run as per normal.

This is potentially fun

Overview

The False Bearer may force the Storyteller to make a public statement at a chosen time. The statement has no impact on the game state. The False Bearer cannot prevent the Storyteller from announcing information they are required to announce.

  • Statements made by the Storyteller should be game-related. The Storyteller may refuse any statement containing profanity, insults, or derogatory language.
  • Normally, in the spirit of the game, if the Storyteller makes a mistake and publicly announces that the affected player has been informed, players should not use the original mistake itself to solve the game.
  • However, when the False Bearer is on the script, the Storyteller may allow players to share such information since the town may choose to treat such announcements as potentially unreliable as the Storyteller may have been compelled to make a false statement.
  • The Storyteller should clarify before the game begins how players should handle such situations should the Storyteller make a mistake.

Examples

Kelvin is the Demon. The False Bearer forces the Storyteller to say, “Kelvin has died,” at the start of the next day. At the start of the next day, the Storyteller announces: “There was a casualty last night. Bella has died. Kelvin has died.”

During the night phase, False Bearer force the Storyteller to say, "Sorry, I have make a mechanical mistake, and I have informed the chosen player about the mistake". The Storyteller make the annoucement immediately. The next day, John, who is the False Bearer, claim to be the Fortune-Teller that have been affected by the mistake.

How to Run

Any time during the day or night, you may force the Storyteller to make a game-related public statement at a chosen time. The statement has no effect on the game state.

If the statement would make the game excessively difficult for the good team, the Storyteller may allow a good player to learn that the False Bearer is in play.

If the False Bearer is not in play, the evil team may bluff that they learned of a False Bearer in play to mislead the town.

Misc

You can use this with Virgin, Golem, Leviathan, Legion. For example, if Legion is on script, you can force the Storyteller to say, sorry I have make a mistake, the execution has failed after the Storyteller says XXX is executed and dies.
