Epidural is my best friend

Currently in early labor in my induction. I made it about 3 very painful strong contractions before asking for pain medicine (honestly thought I would have lasted longer but no shame) and wanted to share my experience for those that are worried/scared.
The placement was uncomfortable and slightly painful but I'll tell you what.... it was not as painful as any of those contractions and I slept soooooo good and am now able to relax especially with having a catheter and not having to get up to pee every hour. You won't even remember the pain for the epidural. I can still feel pressure and my legs and toes just feels tingly like everything has fallen asleep but im so much more relaxed.
Good luck mamas we got this!

Count Down/Vent

24 more days until my scheduled DTS in the OR.
17 more days until maternity leave starts.
44 more days until my EDD.

I'm over this summer heat.

I'm over work - but incredibly blessed that I've been able to work from home since my emergency cerclage.

I'm so irritable with everyone and everything - probably doesn't help that I wake up every 1-2 hours to pee. Haven't been able to do normal activities because of modified bed rest. I haven't done 1 single thing to help nest which makes me really sad. All been my mom and MIL, realized I have a bit of a control issue during this process. I feel like I'm complaining too much where my friends don't want to talk to me much because I'm so negative. I miss my independence the most.

What activities do you find help passes the time?
And what are some ways to help you stay positive during the last trimester?

Not doing this again?

FTM - I am 30 weeks pregnant (33years old) and going through a really tough pregnancy. I had an emergency cerclage placed at 21 weeks. Dr said if I wanted to have more kids I would need a TAC, since my cervix has lots of scar tissue and the cerclage was extremely difficult for them to place. Ive been on bed rest since the cerclage placement which was been really hard for me, and my husband. And im just extremely nervous for the rest of this pregnancy and just hope that everything goes well and trying my best to stay positive.
I've always seen myself with 2-3 kids, and never wanted just one child. But after this experience I truly don't know if I can undergo another difficult pregnancy (it took us 2+ years to even get pregnant). This is making me very depressed in my third trimester, and I'm hoping that my husband doesn't ever resent the fact that I may not be able to carry out another pregnancy.
Any positive TAC stories? Or similar stories where having only one child was fully satisfying? It's hard to relate to friends/family and I truly find comfort in this group because of similar experiences.

Rings no longer fitting?

At what part in pregnancy are your rings no longer fitting?

Just passed 28 weeks and rings are not coming off and on comfortably, I can get them on.... but forcing hard same with taking them off.

I guess I'll be ringless until baby comes.

What about everyone else?
Also if you have experienced this in the past, at what point pp do your rings start fitting again?

Cerclage removal in OR?

Hello!
Does anyone have experience with cerclage being removed in OR?
I recently saw on a doctors note in my chart that my stitches will need to be removed in the OR, and they didn't mention this to me in any of my appointments yet.

If you have experienced this: what week did you have stitches removed? Did they induce you immediately afterwards or schedule a C-section?
I have my next apt next week so I will definitely ask but want to know some experiences to ease my curious mind.
Thank you ❤️

Bed Rest

Would like to know what you future mamas would do in my situation (I'll try to keep it short):

Last week I was hospitalized for an emergency clerclage at a hospital about an hour away from my home- Dr. said it was the hardest one she's ever done because of scar tissue. They originally wanted me to stay in the hospital for a few weeks for monitoring to make sure I didn't have contractions or any surgery complications.

It's been a week now since the surgery - they discharged me 2 full days after my procedure because I informed them I had a place to stay closer (20 mins away from hospital) with my parents, and I've been on bed rest ever since.

I'm so grateful, don't get me wrong, that my parents made my living accommodations as cozy as they could - own room downstairs. However, this is not a peaceful environment, it's hot and there's no ac. My family is very loving but very loud, I go to bed early and they are loud in the living room watching movies/tv/sports whatever it is, additionally they like to show their love with teasing (I'm almost in my third trimester and very emotional from the traumatic surgery and this big living change so not loving this). I miss my husband, my bed, and everything about being home. My husband just started a new job (his dream job) and will be spending weekends with me here.

I have a check up apt this afternoon with the dr.
But wanted to know would you guys risk going home and being an hour away from the speciality hospital? Or just suck it up in a stressful environment where you aren't getting great sleep, not eating at perferred times, and loud people coming and going?

Thanks in advance for any opinions/advice ❤️

Emergency Clerclage

Had anatomy scan last week on Wednesday with short cervix at 2.2cm, they scheduled me for a high risk OB anatomy scan urgently the next week. Cervix was then at 1.2cm, they told me I had to go to the hospital immediately for an emergency clerclage. Stayed overnight had the clerclage the next morning, I was informed that this is typically a very quick procedure. The anathesia was starting to wear off in the OR, so I was starting to feel some pain and get nervous after they started calling in several more doctors to help with the procedure, they gave me norcos so that I wouldn't feel anymore pain during the operation. Dr. Told me it was the hardest clerclage she has ever performed because of all the scar tissue my cervix has (could have been from a cervical biopsy last July or combination of different things can't really tell). It's the next day after the procedure and the dr. Just informed me that they may want to keep me at the hospital for several weeks ugh. This is our first pregnancy, and I'm 22 weeks today. Any good news or good stories to keep me sane and positive through this hospital stay? They also have me on progesterone daily now. Bleeding stopped and I'm just feeling a little sore no pain today.
