Minor adjustments

New to me Prodigy and a brother to another. Small adjustment to the trigger, 17lbs mainspring, 11lbs recoil spring, 507Comp on the way with a few other parts and some extra mags(as if I need them). Big plans for this one. May take some time but, it will be worth it.

Carry

P365 XMacro on AXG aluminum grip module, with Radian RJ/AB came in just about 34 1/2 oz(loaded mag). I thought for sure This was going to be significantly heavier. I don’t think the extra 4-5 oz is going to bother me at all. The extra width is taking some reacquainting. Love my M&P. My standard without the Apex trigger will be here soon. I’m not sure if I like this shoe or the OEM shoe more. Both are 🤌🏽👌🏽

Culture

It is astounding how vastly different the two sides of a group can be. A person takes the time to evaluate a firearm to, an admittedly greater extent than the average person, and the responses never cease to amaze.
On the one hand, an amazing group of 2A supporters that held civil discussions about the likes and dislikes is found in a particular firearm. A short time later, people convinced that my opinion on a gun is some sort of offense to them which causes them to suggest I have a vagina the requires me to sit when I urinate(the women shooters I know are likely better than those that spoke).
Additionally, there seems to be some hatred for an opinion that states “here is something I tried and here are the reasons I discovered I didn’t like it.
Internet be trolls. Reddit feeds the worst of them. It’s no wonder so many places like VA are suffering the dissolution of Constitutional Rights.
Division and incivility will serve as the bedrock of our undoing.

Fudgecicles.

I truly wanted this to work. I love how this gun shoots. But. The grip. Too grippy where I don’t want it to be. No grippy where I need it to be. And ultimately, somewhere between 3/32” and 1/8” too short, front to back. I contemplated different ways to try and make it work. I’d rather find something that fits my hand better out of the box. Great gun. Time to move on.

It’s sad really.

I wanted to love this gun so much. Just not jiving with me. Shoots great! Feels good in the hand. Not loving the DA though. Guess I’ll stick with my P10’s and look for something else to carry.

Guess I’m out of excuses

There’s a small element that makes going to competitions nearly unbearable. That special kind of asshole that exists here as well. Trash talk to belittle. Turn their nose up because you’re new. Rude because they’re assholes. Every time I’ve ever gone to watch, I seem to meet this prick the minute I get there. “Oh! So not competing cuz you don’t shoot well?” Or, “Yeah. I’ve seen your targets, and blah, blah, blah.” I’m not saying I’m overly bothered by them. I’ve just found peace it letting these assclowns fuck off. Way I got it figured, like 97% of every shooter I’ve ever seen at competitions, it’s not like I’m trying to win. Shit, I’d even run a comped or ported gun. “You don’t want to do that if you are planning to compete or you’ll get destroyed by real shooters”, or some dipshit variation of that. Fuck I can’t stand those colon sniffers. Anyway. Time to run a crap ton of dry fire reps. First comp I can make it to is in 6 weeks. Better get my ish together.

It may not appear like much to some but, in the limited time that I’ve been able to dedicate to improving my shooting, this is a strong example of major progress. These doubles were not super close together but, at seven yds I plastered the primary group looks decent. Six flyers with the furthest points still sneaking into an A zone. For me though, my grip has shown the greatest improvement. I may never achieve a GM rating but, I’m pretty sure I’m above the average gun owner at least.
