Hey everyone,

I’m currently working in helpdesk and planning to transition internally into a SOC L1 role soon.

My goal is to reach around 12–14 LPA within 1–2 years, but I don’t want to stay in SOC long term. I’m trying to plan my next move early and specialize instead of getting stuck doing only alert triage.

Which path has the best growth and demand right now?

What skills actually helped you break out of L1 quickly?

How did you build proof (projects, labs, GitHub) that made recruiters take you seriously?
