Is this a good build?

Hey y’all I am currently working on building my own PC for the first time and was wondering if this is a good setup or if there is any alternatives that would work better for compatibility and maybe save a little money here and there lol I plan on playing games like Baldurs Gate, Detroit Become Human, the Sims 4 (with 3,000+ mods/cc) and I tend to multitask a lot with different apps open at once. I don’t really have a set budget just preferably under $3,000 and I am in the US.
I am also deciding between a MSI MAG 27” 280Hz and a LG UltraGear 27” 280Hz as a new monitor so any suggestions about that are also recommended

[Suggestion] $1,500 budget for gaming PC

Hi Reddit! This is one of my first posts so not 100% sure how it works but when looking around I found this subreddit and thought it would be a good place for advice;

I’m currently looking at upgrading my current pc setup because it keeps crashing with lots of lag and not near enough storage (477 GB) and it takes around 3+ minutes for it to even open the Sims, but I know nothing about computers and some advice would be greatly appreciated!

My budget is around $1,500 (I live in the US) but I’m fine going a little over or under depending (just definitely under $2,000) and I want it to be able to handle a lot of multitasking (like a game, OBS, and YouTube all running simultaneously), with lots of storage because I have a lot of games (around like 60+ on Steam), and be able to run large games like COD, The Quarry, Detroit Become Human, Baldurs Gate, and the Sims 4 with way too many mods (I have 3,000+ mods) and have them look nice and not lag super badly or just fully crash my computer 😅

So what I’m wondering is since my current PC is a prebuilt one if I should just get another one and if anyone has any recommendations or get a custom one like I’ve seen around and if so any specific brands you recommend because when looking online I see a lot of people see different things so I don’t know what best, thank you so much for your help!

Current build
Dell OptiPlex 7020 Gaming Desktop PC
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro
Processor: Intel Core i7-4770 CPU
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 (2 GB)
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Primary storage: 477 GB SSD HS512QE
It came with a USB wired keyboard and mouse if that matters but I’ll probably look into getting a nicer one and I don’t remember what my monitor is but if that’s important I can try and find out

Thanks again and have a great day!
