I sat in my bedroom chair for the first time since last summer

It had turned into the place for clothes that were too clean for the wash and too worn to put away. Eventually I couldnt tell what was under the top layer, so I just kept adding to it. The chair is right next to my closet, which somehow made that feel like a system.

I did three 20-minute sessions this week. Everything on the chair either went in the wash or back where clothes actually live. I found a sweatshirt I thought I'd lost and a towel that I absolutely had not washed when I thought I had. The closet still needs work, but this morning I sat down to put on my socks instead of balancing against the wall. First time I've used the chair as a chair in over a year.

If you've reclaimed one piece of furniture that used to hold a pile, what stopped it from becoming the pile again? I know myself well enough to worry about next Tuesday.
