Best way to publish a small pre-launch aite without deploying my unfinished Bubble app?

I have a marketplace built in Bubble that is currently entirely in Development and has never been deployed to Live.

I now need a simple public pre-launch site (homepage/business info + a couple of waitlist forms), but I do not want my unfinished marketplace pages to exist on Live, even if someone tries accessing them directly by URL.

I'm on Web Starter plan, so I have a basic version control/savepoints but no custom branches.

I also dont want to create a second Bubble all, as that would mean paying for a second Starter plan just for temporary pre-launch site.

What's the cleanest way to handle this on Starter while continuing to develop the full marketplace? Is there a standard Bubble approach, or would you use some kind of savepoint - temporary pre-launch version - deploy - restore development process? Is there a standard approach for this on Starter, or would you use a temporary savepoint/deploy/restore development process?

Thank you all!

Coles self service checkout froze during a cashout

Hey, my elderly aunt went to Coles to purchase small items and selected $200 cashout. Apparently the machine froze and failed to give her a receipt or cash.

Coles told her the transaction never went through and to contact her bank.

Her bank telling her money came out of her account.

I'm still trying to get some info such as whether she spoke w someone right after the machine malfunctioned, whether they made her pay separately for the small items after they couldn't prove she paid for it already (and she could prove due to no receipt).

Coles escalated it to Cust service headoffice.

Bank has declined her dispute.

Her next step is to escalate to AFCA but I'm curious if this has happened to anyone?

It's $200. She's on pension so she needs the funds but the run around, the headache and following up is too much for her.

TIA.

Is “hold your applause until the end” a common school assembly rule?

Our school has a bit of a rule at assemblies that parents and students are asked not to clap or cheer after each individual child is called up for an award. Instead, we’re meant to wait until the whole year level has been announced, and then everyone applauds together.

I always assumed it was just a time thing. Assemblies can drag on, and obviously if you stop for applause after every single child it adds up. Another parent I was chatting to thought exactly the same. And we thought, surely a total of 5, maybe 10 mins is OK if it meant every single child was celebrated.

Then last week my son was called up for an award. He’s a pretty social kid and got a really big cheer from his friends. Even one of our little neighbours later proudly told my husband that he’d cheered for him, which was very cute.

I was cheering too, although admittedly we’d literally just been reminded not to 😂 It just feels so unnatural to sit there silently when your kid’s name gets called.

But then the next child was called.

And it was basically silent.

I actually felt really bad for them.

That was the first time it occurred to me that maybe the rule isn’t mainly about saving time at all. Maybe it’s because individual cheering can unintentionally become a very obvious display of who has lots of friends, who’s outgoing, who has quieter friends, etc.

There’s obviously nothing wrong with kids getting excited when their friend wins something. I actually think it’s really sweet. But hearing that huge difference between one child and the next made me suddenly see the policy completely differently.

So now I’m curious, do other schools do this too? And for any teachers here, is that actually part of the reasoning behind holding applause until the end?

But heres the thing, I applauded every child. I know I shouldn't, but I did. Not just my child. And I think many parents would do it too, if they weren't told not to.

I'm in Australia btw.

Is exporting our workflows and overall site possible in the near future?

Is bubble working on allowing customers to export the code of our deployed site?

Influx of tutoring platforms and centres

I'm based in Australia, and I've noticed a considerable amount of tutoring centres as well as actual platforms such as directories or marketplace that opened in 2026 alone.

Is that has always been the case and maybe I never noticed it until now that I'm looking into tutoring or has something happened in the recent time?

I understand that Covid opened the doors for online learning but that was in 2020.

Whereabouts are you? What have you noticed within the tutoring industry?

Is it normal to book directly with a tutor after the first lesson?

We found a tutor through an online platform and the first lesson went really well. My child seemed comfortable which was honestly the main thing I was worried about.

The tutor mentioned we could arrange future lessons directly because the website takes commission each time. I completely understand why they’d prefer that and it would apparently be a little cheaper for us too.

I’m just new to all this and wondering if thats fairly normal? Is there anything parents usually lose by not continuing to book through the website?

Tutors feel free to answer too — do most families eventually book directly with you? Does it normally happen straight after meeting or only after a while? Thanks All
