Hey everyone!
I’m going to Amazon AD1 in about two weeks and was wondering what the dress code is like.
Is it mostly an office/classroom setting where you’re just sitting through presentations, or are you up walking around warehouses or doing activities where you’d want to wear sneakers?
I’m trying to figure out what to pack and don’t want to overpack or show up underdressed. Any tips on what you wore or what you’d recommend would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi everyone! I recently accepted an Area Manager role and start in less than a month. I’m excited but trying to plan ahead for the next year. For those who have been Area Managers, are there specific months, weeks, or events where taking PTO is difficult or generally discouraged, such as Prime Day, Peak, holidays, etc.?
I’m trying to understand the annual operations calendar so I can plan vacations and major events around the busiest periods. Any advice on when to avoid scheduling trips, and when it is usually easiest to take time off, would be greatly appreciated. Also, when do you personally take your vacations throughout the year?

I’ve never worked for Amazon but a recruiter reached out since I just graduated from school….what exactly does an Area Manager do?? I’ve seen people say you’re basically babysitting 100+ people but that can’t just be it 🫠 also how long do said shifts last…do you actually get 3 days off?
