I’m experimenting with dyeing cotton and cotton blend yarns. Can anyone recommend a book that includes cotton? I see some great books but they focus on wool. I’m watching several good YouTube channels, but I think I need more color theory and practical guidance on how to use dyes. Thanks!
I just picked up four pounds of Hickory Throwing 8/5 cotton yarn. I’m a new dyer and got it for $7/lb so I can experiment. Looks like Hickory doesn’t make cotton anymore. This yarn was manufactured in 2020. I don’t see much 8/5 yarn when I search the internet. Is it uncommon?
