Does it make sense for me to pursue the actuary route?

I graduated in Economics last year, will start my MBA this year. Both Tier-1 colleges. But I feel as a fresher my profile is almost completely empty for me to truly stand out for the most coveted roles on campus. I would thus need to build my profile in different ways.

I am considering the Actuary route. Are there people starting during/after their MBA? Considering I will be 23 when I sit for my first paper, does it even make sense to go down this path?

What roles are possible for me given my profile?

X: 89%

XII: 98%

G: 84%

Converted one of the top 5 B-schools in the country.

Economics honours from arguably the best DU college (in terms of brand value), however I have no internships, workex, PORs, certifications etc

Basically nothing of substance in my profile.

I suppose top-tier consulting is ruled out because of 8/9/8, but what other roles are possible for me?

I am very fortunate to have converted my best call, FMS. I had 99.7 in CAT but screwed up my DILR sectional so no ABC calls.

My profile is 9/9/9, Tier-1 UG college from DU. I acknowledge that an MBA from FMS is one of the best in the country, however I don't want an extension of my UG life in the same area, I have already been in Kamala for 3 years now, and Delhi all my life.

I don't want to live with the fact that I could have had a real shot at ABC, were it not for my DILR sectional. On the other hand, given how unpredictable the GDPI cycle is (even if I assume another consistent CAT exam), it feels like a blunder leaving FMS for the hope of making it to ABC someday.

I am a fresher, without a job in hand, so if I retake CAT I will study for it full-time.

ROI isn't a concern, my parents are willing and capable to fund an IIM education so no loan as such but if I don't make it to ABC in the next cycle, I would have to live with the fact that I chose to not go to FMS.

Would appreciate genuine advice.

I am in a fortunate position currently, I have converted my best call. But in the span of reaching out to alums and seniors, I realize I am starting at a huge disadvantage of not having anything to show for my time in my undergraduate degree.

I am coming from no workex, no competitions, no PORs etc. My only saving grace is good acads and a brand value undergraduate college. The term starts in June end, so not enough time to rack things up even if I start now.

To those who have been in similar positions, how did you manage? And does this mean significantly battered chances at a good summer placement?
