How to manage your partner effectively??

One of my employees who is our bar lead is also a ‘shift lead.’

They are dating one of the servers.

This server does need coaching. I have been coaching the server and so have the other managers.

The bar lead is struggling to figure out how to go about asking their partner (the server) to do things and give them feedback on shift when they need redirecting. They don’t work together often except once or rarely twice a week.

Has anyone been in this situation before and what have you seen works best?

Restaurant Menu Accessibility for visually impaired guests

I run a restaurant Downtown and we recently had a visually impaired guest come in. We use QR code menus and have paper menus for those who ask.

I quickly realized that we export our menus as JPEG’s so they aren’t readable by accessibility devices. We can’t print the menu in braille either as it changes at least once a week if not more often.

In the moment I uploaded interactive PDF’s to the website with buttons to access but in looking up how to create a voice reader friendly PDF is kinda hard and I don’t have the right software to see if it’s compliant.

Anyone have any tips or experience to offer from the guest side of it all for me?

Please do not ride your e-bike or e-scooter around Sloan’s lake inner path.

Honestly any mostly pedestrian path around a park. You don’t need to be bobbing and weaving on your battery powered Mach Jesus speed racer around strollers, runners, and walkers.

It’s downright dangerous and rude. There’s an asphalt path literally feet away for you.

A very specific caveat is if anyone is using their mobility aid. And no your e-bike or e-scooter is not a mobility aid.

Thank you :)
