This is the coke solutions website (part of official Coca Cola websites) and they state their target audience for this product is males. I'm really confused why. Is it the color scheme or something?
People talk about future proofing but realistically what is length you could hold these modern MacBooks?
We know MacOS support has been 7-8 years historically, but we don’t know about Apple Silicon yet.
Also, ofc the Neo with 8 GB of RAM base storage would likely face problems looking into the future (maybe not, who knows?).
So depends on the device, also there’s likely speculation about official OS support. These Mac’s can’t dual boot up to date Linux (to my understanding) for safe secure usage.
But the hardware seems really solid. Many of the chips are beyond capable, battery life and cycles incredibly generous, and screens, speakers, WiFi card, I/o port etc are expected to never be an issue for the foreseeable future.
I supposed I’m getting at, seems like MacBooks have plateaued for the general consumer or much of the hardware technology has matured. Who knows, though? Maybe many people in future will run local ML models and these current computers will be a joke in comparison?
That said, what are the general thoughts of this community on holding a modern MacBook for long stretches of time, even beyond official OS support?
