I love the office. I usually play it in the background when working or falling asleep. Season's 1-7 are pure gold. My favorite season typically rotates between 2,5 and 7.

There are great moments through to the end. Jim and Dwight in particular shine throughout the storytelling.. Yet it is always sad as Michael exits.. That episode is legendary. The perfect scene. And knowing what's in store doesn't make it any better..

Season 8 is where things take a big down turn.. It starts with the change to the theme music.. It's like that slight shift is the perfect hint that things aren't staying the same.. Don't get me wrong.. Season 8 is very entertaining, and it starts somewhat strong.. but they give unlikeable characters prominent roles to try to fill the gap left by Steve Carrell and it just DOESN'T hit. Nellie and the old lady that Erin lives with make me want to drill my skull. I usually end up fast forwarding through them.

Then season 9.. Andy is insufferable. The show drops off a cliff.
