I was listening to an older Marshmello track (like “Alone”) and suddenly got hit with a wave of really strong memories from the 2015–2017 Minecraft/YouTube era. It wasn’t just nostalgia—it felt overwhelming, like a full emotional flood from that time in my life.

It reminded me how strongly music can be tied to certain periods and content (Minecraft videos, old YouTubers like DanTDM, etc.). I didn’t expect it to hit that hard.

Does anyone else get this kind of reaction from older EDM or songs you used to listen to a lot?

I realized I care more about “daily experience” than pure performance, so I made a rough priority list for my dream gaming/dev setup. What would you move up/down?

• What would improve day-to-day experience the MOST?

It must be able to access my Windows drive(for file transfers/other stuff), I don't care about hardness of installation(JUST NO LFS), I have an NVIDIA RTX 2060, i5-14400, 16GB DDR4, 500GB HDD, 512GB SATA SSD(Windows, will NOT wipe), and UEFI, but, I would also like a suggestion for my laptop, it is an HP Pavilion G6 with an i3 and Legacy BIOS only, and I like the limine bootloader. I want Hyprland on the PC one, and I want KDE Plasma for my laptop one. And, I have another PC(i5 9th gen, 16GB DDR4, 500GB HDD), and this one needs to use KDE Plasma.

I am gonna make my first YouTube video, what distro should I install for it?

I am making a linux called LettuceOS, it will be Ubuntu + custom apps + theming + preconfiguration + installer branding

I have been using Linux for quiet a while, I know it pretty good, I want to try harder to use Linux, what distro should I get?

For context, I have installed Arch 5 times and used it for ~3 months each time, I have used Fedora, NixOS, Alpine Linux
