einaudi opinions?

personally, i love einaudi. people criticise his music for being “ too easy, repetitive, boring” and it goes along they lines. people dont take einaudi as a serious composer.

a very short brief introduction on who i am, i am a 14 year old pianist and ive been playing for 2 years, i am on grade 6 piano and i have performed in different places of scotland in the past year, and i usually perform a lot of einaudi.

out of all the times i have performed einaudi, people immediately went the most silent, it was like they had been dragged into the music and into the world of that piece, exploring it, and it got the biggest round of applause.

i personally have a connection with einaudi’s music, its the music i listen to when going walks, its the music i listen to when I feel overwhelmed, its the music I listen to when i feel sad, einaudi means everything to me, and i had the privilege to see him perform twice in Scotland, one in edinburgh and one in Glasgow.

tell me, what’s your opinion on Einaudi and his music, i would love to hear

will this get me disqualified?

when doing my g5 online exam, i came across a problem, i couldnt work the sensor pad on the macbook as i have never used one before.

my piano teacher was outside and i stated into the camera “ i am going to get my piano teacher to fix the computer “ he sat down and fixed it in a few seconds, but do ABRSM count that as cheating?

he never did anything with the question, he just simply moved the sensor pad down a different way

just did G5 theory exam

hey guys, my name is Ethan and i am a self taught pianist. i am turning 15 in a month and i have been playing piano since i was around 12. i started with YouTube videos, before getting a piano tutor, called Au.

he has been by far my best mentor i have had yet and I love him so much, from knowing zero clue of what music theory was to now doing my final exam.

i did the online paper, and it was actually, not that bad. the questions were pretty easy, straightforward and it was harder to set up the exam than do it.

i am now on g6/8 for piano and about to sit my g6 once i get my g5 theory back, but hoping for a pass!

2 truths 1 lie - KRAFTWERK EDITION

okay here we go

  1. i was one of the first people to get tickets for their show in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, and got great seats, was one of the best concerts I ever went to

  2. around 2 years ago, i played my very first ( at the age of 12 ) pub gig, i played the guitar and after show I was speaking with one of the performers who was a lot older than me and he asked “ what bands do you like? “ he was suprised when I said I really liked Kraftwerk, as then he immediately got his phone and showed on Facebook that Karl Bartos follows him, and they exchange messages occasionally.

  3. radio-activity was the very first Kraftwerk vinyl i ever fell in love with, it was with spare christmas money and i had decided to go out into HMV and buy the album

so, for those who would rather just find out what the lie was, it was…. 1!

beatles fans reaction

so you may have seen my post about why I think Kraftwerk are more influential than The Beatles, they didn’t take it so lightly

Kraftwerk are a more influential band than The Beatles

here are my reasons,

The Beatles took music styles that were already known, such as rock ‘n’ roll, pop, blues etc, and built off of them, whereas Kraftwerk, created and pioneered in an entirely new genre.

A lot of modern day pop music, hip hop and electronic music heavily rely on what Kraftwerk once did.

While The Beatles are known for their songwriting structure, vocal harmonies and studio arrangements, Kraftwerk are known for genre creation, technological framework and Electronic instrumentation, building their own instruments ( such as electronic pads that were used as drums, a modified version of the vocoder, and even had the idea of making jackets as instruments)

Don’t get me wrong, The Beatles are a fantastic band when it comes to songwriting, but for influence to today’s music and technology, Kraftwerk win by a mile

album rankings and why!

my name is ethan and i have been a Kraftwerk fan for around 6 years now. i am turning 15 and i was 8 at the time i first heard them, now, i have all of their cd’s and half of their albums, so im gonna go on and rank them to see how much backlash i will get… ( excluding Kraftwerk 1 and 2 )

AUTOBAHN - 7/10

i remember i had my mum gave me my papa’s single of Autobahn and Kometenmelodie 1 that was in 1974, so when i put that on, i fell in love with Autobahn, not so much Kometenmelodie 1. I knew I had to listen to the album and i will say that the 22 minutes of listening to Autobahn was one of the best 22 minutes gave away, it was outstanding. Morgenspaziergang stood out to me as well, and why you may ask? i have no idea.

favourite song on the album - Autobahn
least favourite - Mitternacht or Kometenmelodie 1
German version or English version - 🇩🇪?

RADIOACTIVITY/RADIO-AKTIVITÄT - 8.5/10

when i first put the needle on that record, i had never listened to Geiger Counter, so i thought the album was damaged, but as it sped up, it was pure genius. Then led onto Radioactivity, which i fell in love with, and the rest on the track. Then when i turned the record for the 2nd side, all I heard was the high pitch sounds of Intermission, then a bunch of German news reporters talking about planned expansion of nuclear power plants in West Germany, then you hear a static back ground then Die Stimme Der Energie comes on, and has me hooked, onto this killer sound of Antenna, fantastic!

favourite song on the album - Airwaves
least favourite - Uranium
German version or English version - 🇬🇧

TRANS EUROPE EXPRESS/TRANS EUROPA EXPRESS - 7/10

i really liked this album. this was the album that in my opinion, got the clubs and rappers attention on Kraftwerk, especially from the track Trans Europe Express. With the strings opening and catchy hard beat, i quite liked it, it was different to what i had heard. in all honesty, the hall of mirrors sounds like that soundtrack to when you go to the final boss level in a video game, and i love Europe endless, such a catchy tune to me!

favourite song on the album - Showroom Dummies
least favourite - Franz Schubert ( even tho it is good, the rest are great! )
German version or English version - 🇩🇪

THE MAN MACHINE/DIE MENSCH MASCHINE - 10/10

by far, one of the best albums i have ever listened to in my life so far. the robots was the very first Kraftwerk song i had heard, but i prefer Die Roboter, just gives an extra kick. i could write a full book about how this album is one of the best ever, but ill keep it short. i love how spacelab uses a whole tone scale to start of the song, giving a dreamy vibe, i adore the model, but again, i prefer the german version “ Das Model “ and Neon Lights give that positive vibe, while the album ends with a brilliant ending, The Man Machine.

favourite song on the album - Spacelab
least favourite - Metropolis
German version or English version - 🇩🇪

COMPUTER WORLD/COMPUTERWELT - 9.5/10

another magnificent album! where do i start, the attractive synth on computer world, the fact calculator noises were used on pocket calculator, or the languages in Numbers? or maybe even the beautiful synth that was in Computer Love, which people who dont know Kraftwerk may know the melody from Coldplay’s song “ Talk “. This album was just written so well done, and it’s as if the albums start to sound even better as they keep going through the years, incredible!!!

favourite song - Computer Liebe
least favourite - It’s more fun to compute
German version or English version - 🇩🇪

ELECTRIC CAFÉ/TECHNO POP - 5 or 6/10

this album was still made well, but in my opinion not as good as the other albums. dont get me wrong, there are some very very good songs on the album, such as Musique Non Stop, Boing Boom Tschak, The Telephone Call, and Techno Pop. All great songs, but the others just did not appeal like the rest.

favourite song - the telephone call
least favourite - sex object
German version or English version - 🇬🇧

THE MIX - 9/10

i was very impressed with this album! they nailed the remixes of all of their songs spot on, and didn’t over do them. i was very impressed with the robots, it was just amazing listening to it, but weirdly as well, i really enjoyed listening to Dentaku, i think it was just the the beat the stood out.

favourite song - the robots
least favourite - radioactivity
German version or English version - 🇩🇪

TOUR DE FRANCE - 3/10

i really did not like this album. i felt as if it was pretty boring, and just wasn’t my cup of tea. to be honest, it does give that catchy hook on a few songs, but overall disappointing to me, sorry!

favourite song - Tour De France ( Etape 2 )
least favourite - Tour De France ( Etape 3 )

sooo, this is my ranking!! i would love to hear your thoughts on this, tell me if you agree or disagree with my opinion, and tell me your favourites of Kraftwerk, who will always be one of my favourite bands in the world!

TOP 3 RANKINGS - 1. DIE MENSCH MASCHINE
2. COMPUTERWELT
3. THE MIX
